Of course, if you lan to modify the drivetrain, the warranty would be a waste. I am sure some of us have mods in mind! For those of us who have a proven record of keeping a car stock and owning it for a long time, the extended warranty might pay off.

I plan on using their pricing when I do my deal...just didn't know if pricing (cost) has changed if at all...

Scott
I used it too I got within 100 bucks so I went with dealer as well figured the finance guy could use an extra hundred in the pay check since I paid cash and he was getting no kick back from financing

When I went in to pick up my car I was offered an extended warranty. So I sit back to hear the offer and was told that I qualified for a $1500 discount and I could get a 8yr 80,000 mile warranty for the discounted price of only $4,499. I told them that I would have to think about it and get back to them.

I like to disassemble things.
That's as insulting as it gets. I'd never do business with them again.

My situation was not a whole lot different than Earl's -- they quoted me over $3500 for the 8/60 plan that Flood has for $1055... They weren't able to come even close to price matching so I politely declined.

How do you guys feel about the prepaid maintenance plans? The 3/36000 plan is ~$500 and it seems like that the 3 oil changes pays for itself! That said, I've always done my own oil changes so I am a little torn on this one. Appreciate others opinions.

Drew, When you get your car, make sure you sign up for FordPass and install the FordPass app on your cell phone. You will get 42,000 FordPass points that are good for free maintenance.
