All,

Hitting 3 years this December. I'm putting less than 5k miles a year on her and plan to get it down to 3-4K by skipping car meetups. I will have less than 40K after 8 years if it continues. I don't track. I don't see a lot of issues so far as I did with the 350. Should I fork over 1K for Just In Case Shit Happens? Thanks.

It’s a risk-reward option. Do you have any modifications that could be an issue for dealers? Do you plan to do any mods that could cause issues? If either these is yes, then don’t waste your time with extended warranties.
Honestly if you aren’t driving it that much you would probably waste your money.

I'm in the same boat as you as far as low miles, but find one electronic failure in the future is worth the extended warranty. NAV screen, any one of the many modules, basically anything electronic. Worth it to me.

I have H pipe, lund tune, and JLT. No plans for anything more. If the tune screws me, then ext. warranty is null anyways. My Shelby tech says any future issues and I have to take tune off before he looks at it.

They can't deny things like electrical warranties even if you were tuned.

Thanks Jaime, good points. If I have a major failure, I might sale.

Also curious on where and what terms you are getting said warranty from.

Most dealers won’t, but there are some a-hole managers out there. However, the entire drivetrain can be denied due to a tune.
