Hey guys...

I committed to a base 500 to land (supposedly) mid February. I am consolidating cars down to 1 for at least a year. I love to drive so I will drive 18-20k miles a year if I only have 1 car. Is anyone from a Ford dealership on here? Finance/sales manager? I am cool with the local sales manager but I need to know COST on a FORD warranty...5 year 100k $0 deductible. I am cool with some profit but not huge lol. I am the sales mgr of a Nissan dealership so I know how this goes.

I believe Flood Ford is the place to go for a extended warranty.

Ok cool...do they need to see the car? Inspection etc? Are they active on this forum?
I believe you can purchase it online.
I am told they have the best prices for Ford extended warranty’s.

There was a thread here a while back about it.
I’ll see if I can find it.

Definitely Flood Ford, and I don’t think they need to see it, just need a Vin

That’s crazy how cheap the prices are relative to the GT500’s components. I appreciate the info guys!

Scott, when you go in to pick up your car, take an updated copy of the chart in my post above and see if your dealer will match the price. It's worth a try and if he goes for it, the policy may be able to be rolled into your financing.

I’m a long time user of the Flood Ford warranty, I have purchased many. It’s all done online, simple plug & play info, you only need your vin and date of purchase.

However, my selling dealer for the GT500 sold me the same warranty $50 cheaper when I showed them Flood Fords prices. They chose to make some money, than no money. Some dealers may tell you to go piss up a rope, but return the sentiment and buy via Flood Ford if that happens.

I’m curious. What is an acceptable margin? And would you be ok with the same scenario from a customer in your dealership? I do think there’s some irony there in you purchasing a Gt500 considering the Gtr from your product line. Great choice in the 500. The Gtr is a badarse car as well.

I got this with my Raptor 2 years ago. Curious which plan you went with Jaime on your 500? I’m debating with the 6 or 7 year plan with 60k

At those prices it’s a no brainer. I paid $1850 for the 8/48 Extra Care plan (1 below Premium Care) on my ā€˜17 GT350 when it had 10k miles and still within 3/36 warranty. It’s best to do it early.
