Cooled only in the Roadster. Supportive? Not really. Slightly better than the standard S197 seats, but we still slide around in the corners! We are a lot heavier than you'd think for a car this size. A 370Z manual coupe with the sport and touring packages, plus navigation, has a curb weight of right at 3400lbs. We actually get fewer goodies in a smaller package than the Mustang, so it will be interesting to see how close the larger s550 could get.
I found them to be a lot nicer than most seats I've been in. I'd be happy if the Recaros available were power with memory, heated and cooled, and leather with cloth inserts. I don't think we'll get that.

Jesse- putting that mass in motion or stopping it has nothing to do with balance...that's long stab.

They really stink for real spirited driving or any track duty. Better than the base S197 seats, but you still have to brace yourself a lot.

I would love a heated, cooled, power + memory Recaro option but I agree, unlikely we'll get that option. From what I could see in the press pics, the base seats look like they are a lot more supportive than the current s197 seats.

I'll probably end up going the Recaro route, even if they are manual, though.

And all the talk about Nissan 370, if weight is so easy to manage why is the gtr so heavy?
The GT-R is BIG with a beefy AWD system. And the engineers found the physics source code and hacked it.

Adding niceties doesn't necessarily contribute to heavier weight. 370Z's have heated and cooled supportive leather and fabric buckets that are light and small. Ditto with the Corvette. I could make do with 3 high quality speakers over 9 bumping stereo speakers; some cars have one speaker. Springing for higher quality and lighter materials shouldn't be too much to ask for if I'm putting down > $45k for a car.

LMAO.........

If Recaro or other sport seat manufacturers offered them, I'd consider the money and effort involved.

The Recaros in the Focus ST are excellent. I believe the ST3 package offers the heated (not sure about cooled) power seats.

Continuing the seat topic, the new standard seats look A LOT nicer than the current standard offering. Looks like much better bolstering.

Can't wait to try them out. If they are good enough I might go with these over the Recaros. Though I did love the Recaros in my '11.
