yea it’s one of my things to download down the road. That road tends to get longer every now and then. But my plan is to use the cooler and mounting from the M1, 350 and 500. Maybe in 2026.I guess not trans temp but people say the manual doesn't get too hot....and I change the fluid frequently enough to negate that concern.....I hope.
yea I saw Terry (Vorshlag) do that to his car. Gets rid of the parachute effect. I have that on my winter to do list. Going to go with a verus diffuser because curbs don’t like carbon fiber and neither does my bank account. Wish someone made a more aggressive one than Verus.Side note: I also cut off the fake diffuser. I'm sure some will say it looks ghetto but I really like the look. Perhaps less drag too.

I've heard the Verus diffuser helps more for drag than downforce. I've also heard any diffuser is practically useless unless you have a complete flat flooryea it’s one of my things to download down the road. That road tends to get longer every now and then. Car looks great man. Hopefully 2025 brings you a lot of track time, fun and podiums.
yea I am going to try and get an extension like this to close up the gap underneath. Should be better than nothing. We will seeI've heard the Verus diffuser helps more for drag than downforce. in trying to find a PP lip while I’m in the Atlanta area for the week to take it to 9Lives so they can make a splitter. Easier to find that than a car for R&D.Yeah I got the carbon wing but that's probably the only carbon I'll get. Just too expensive. I'll likely do a Racebred splitter when that time comes. I think they're $350.
Great thinking. But seeing your progress gave me encouragement to go down that path. Also I got a passenger seat so my girlfriend and I can spend “quality time” together on the track and I don’t have to hear how much time I’m spending away doing car stuff. Let her enjoy the benefits of letting me go away for hours(or days) to work on the car. Thanks man. I think jumped into time attack too early and it got to my head. I might just hangout in HPDE's for some time until my times get quicker. But definitely looking for as much track time as the wife will allow.
you've been driving around in circles for 15 min, just pull over and ask for directions alreadyyea I am going to try and get an extension like this to close up the gap underneath. Should be better than nothing. We will see

Don't get me wrong, time attack is super fun and definitely the goal but I don't think my skills are all that competitive yet. Still 2-3 seconds off 1st place guys.Great thinking. Eric, do you also feel that "risk" increases when running time attack?Don't get me wrong, time attack is super fun and definitely the goal but I don't think my skills are all that competitive yet. Still 2-3 seconds off 1st place guys.
I was perfectly content doing HPDEs when a friend asked me to join a time attack event. I figured I'd come in last and ended up on the podium. That made me think "wow, I must be pretty good at this"......nope. Still have a lot to learn and learning in a timed event just adds too much mental pressure for me. Wasn't making any progress.
Actually, the opposite. In my experience, the guys in time attack take things a lot more seriously and are generally much more aware and overall better drivers.Eric, do you also feel that "risk" increases when running time attack?
I see. I was referring to risk in regards to "pushing" harder. But on track drivers and cars (e.g. breakdown) has risk as you pointed out.Actually, the opposite. In my experience, the guys in time attack take things a lot more seriously and are generally much more aware and overall better drivers.
In HPDEs, there's always someone who lied about their experience level, not paying attention to flags or other cars, etc. Generally, higher risk of a "dumbass" on track in HPDE than time attack.
Oooooh, um I suppose but that's more subjective. I definitely feel mental pressure to go faster but that's just me.I see. I was referring to risk in regards to "pushing" harder. But on track drivers and cars (e.g. breakdown) has risk as you pointed out.
I believe the risks you speak of does increase. I work as a flagger throughout the year for the past two years and most incidents happen in the advance/TT group in my experience. The reasoning I’ve settled on is that quite a good number of people in those groups have built cars that they are okay with walking away financially from (ie. the bank doesn’t own it). They have the safety to withstand fires and rollovers so a tire wall will have a different impact than a car of a novice driver that has a few bolt ons and just trying to see what their car can do.I see. but not sure what you mean there.... They have the safety to withstand fires and rollovers so a tire wall will have a different impact than a car of a novice driver that has a few bolt ons and just trying to see what their car can do.
...
I guess what I meant was that drivers in the built cars that I mentioned have better safety equipment. Whether it be a roll bar or fire suppression system or full cage. Because they have all the things they are willing to push a bit harder. Even though drivers don’t expect to run into a tire wall, I think safety wise if they were to have an off that they would be protected.I think to may be into something.
but not sure what you mean there.
I would agree with the first statement, somewhat with the second, and definitely with the third!I've heard the Verus diffuser helps more for drag than downforce. I've also heard any diffuser is practically useless unless you have a complete flat floorMakes sense but they do look cool.

Do you mind sharing a link to that part? Thanks Warrenyea I am going to try and get an extension like this to close up the gap underneath. Should be better than nothing. We will see

100% agree with this. When I was coaching and even up to my last track day in September you see some SUPER-Sketchy cars in Novice/Inter. One dude at the last event had a 64 Ford Falcon with almost original everything except a built motor and he went into a wall. His passengers head hit the windshield. Both were wearing the OEM lap belts.I guess what I meant was that drivers in the built cars that I mentioned have better safety equipment. drivers in intermediate or novice groups generally don’t have the same safety equipment and at a minimum just a certified helmet. Hopefully that makes a bit more sense.
