Figured I’d share this. Customer of mine went a new PB in his ESS G3R powered mustang.

Has anyone been faster with a similar setup? Any centri car with a 10R80 been faster?

Basics of the build are as follows:

G3R head unit
Stock motor
6 rib belt with factory OEM tensioner
Built 10R80/converter
E85
3715 lbs

What was his setup and do you have a slip? I remember it vaguely. I know it wasn’t a 6rib though.

Good grief, that's insane. What an amazing short list of mods that is to get a 3,700+ pound Mustang into the mid-8's.

Stock motor . . . . . I guess that just goes to show how incredible these Coyote motors are.

Those are only the mods he decided to list. Those are the main ones of course but it doesn't say anything about driveshaft, axles, suspension, wheel/tire setup, cooling mods, etc.

That is great numbers. Auto Mafia Racing was able to turn 9.7 in the 1/4 mile with a 3.7 V6.

I must've missed it. Where did it say it was 3700lbs? Great numbers no matter the weight.

How in the heck do you keep the 10R80 from self-destructing?
