Welp, the plot thickens.

I took a stab at removing the harness. Definitely no way without getting more access. Loosening the engine and transmission mounts might help, but still not sure it'll give me all the access I need.

I then thought about just getting a new plug and patching, but I can't find the damn thing anywhere. Is anyone able to locate this plug? It's for the Variable Camshaft Timing Solenoid 2 on Bank 2.

It's a little difficult to see the shapes on some of the connectors if they are made from black plastic. One possibility is to narrow it down to as few as possible, have your dealer get all of them, and go to the dealer and look at the connectors to determine which one it is.

You could also call your favorite parts department with the connector number and ask them to identify it..
That idea is just crazy enough it might work . I'll call ANWBL.

The hole gets deeper and DEEPER. Ha.

Called the parts department at ANWBL and there's no repair kit for this connector. Couldn't find anything. Options are to buy a new harness or find one in a junk yard and re-use.

I spent a bit of time trying to gauge access on removing the harness - tilting the engine forward didn't help as much as I need. Looks doable if remove the exhaust and drop the tranny tho. Hmmm

Thanks for the update. Although there’s no repair kit, you could de-pin the wires/fittings going into the connector and repair them.

I’m surprised they didn’t at least ID the connector..

I asked about that and they weren't able to identify it. I'm telling you, this damn plug isn't listed anywhere. I've spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to locate it. Oye - re-pinning it is one option I've thought about. More inclined to snag one from a junkyard, tho.

May be an ignorant question, but is this connector used on other Mustang models, or only the GT350?

Might be hard to source from a junkyard if it is not used across the S550 platform.

I have been watching your thread and @Zitrosounds thread since electrical gremlins scare me. Glad you have it narrowed down to this piece and wishing you luck.

It's shared with the coyote from what I can tell, so it shouldn't be too hard to source. Still harder than I imagined.

You will never find the plug itself. As I understand it only the harness is available in its entirety. My plug was repined for the exhaust VCT bank 2.

EDIT, if i'm reading it correctly, VCT bank 2 solenoid 2 is C1548.......service pigtail is WPT-1506

My man! How'd you find it? I told the parts folks that exact number and they couldn't find anything.
