Is this the same Dark Horse SC that you said would be 90k despite plenty of evidence to the contrary? While this back and forth is somewhat entertaining, when it comes to member credibility, its not even comparable.
owned both since new and loved both. GT350 far superior in almost every way especially out of the box. Boss needed some modifications for track use, transmission and brakes are not comparable to GT350. GT350 feels more European, and has its own character. IMO still the best looking and sounding...
Ford was right there when the Barret Jackson stuff took off, why spend 100-200k on a 67 GT500 when we got this 2007 model that will blow it away and have many of the same styling cues in a modern vehicle.
They are there again with Bronco as the prices of the classics, and even OBS are bringing...
I still say its a missed opportunity to not use SVT Cobra. That era of enthusiast is now entering the sweet spot age wise for disposable income and nostalgia. Just like the Shelby guys when Ford rekindled the Shelby partnership in 2007. They could have waited another decade to try something new...
Interesting. When the 2020 GT500 came out all the articles stated the base price was $73,995 which included GG and D&D....
this car actually starts at $108,485 with those included.
fuzzy math
2022 GT500 was priced 6k higher for the exact same car than 2020/2021.
I mentioned Raptor Vs Raptor R earlier
S650 GT and S650 Dark horse are the mostly same as the outgoing S550GT/ Mach 1 and have had MSRP increases so substantial that its a constant topic on 6g and 7g
I can't count how many...
Not sure if you follow raptor R prices, but one could follow a similar logic.... Ford, however essentially charges you the $30k for the predator engine on top of the cost of a V6 raptor. Why wouldn't they do it here?
I agree, I’m not sensitive about it either. It’s almost a compliment that this powertrain combo is that good that it can continue. The added benefit of many of the same parts being used is huge. Guys with S197 GT500s have a hard time sourcing parts when these powertrains historically are 2/3...
I didn't have Ford Focus on my bingo card on the discussion of this new mustang.
The Focus DCT is a dry clutch transmission that was a joint venture with Getrag, and yes it has many issues and lawsuits attached to it.
DCT in GT500 is a wet clutch unit from TREMEC.
if they used motorcraft 5w40 synthetic it is for diesel only. It has API rating for compression engines (diesel) not gasoline (spark) engines. If it could be used in gas engines it would have an "S" rating along with the "C"
Motorcraft® SAE 5W-40 Full Synthetic Diesel Motor Oil is a...
I also had one back in the day, a mystichrome coupe. The 2 cars are not even comparable IMO. Ancient flexible small chassis, laughable brakes/hubs, primitive IRS. (Especially compared to GT350/R) Game changer at the time for sure. Owning Mystichrome is a double edged sword. Amazing color and...
