I have a Hennessey GT350 and had to build a new short block. Getting this code and can’t figure it out? Double checked timing and still throws code. Any help would be great! Possible harness/wiring like the honey badgers video on the P0020 code? Not sure and need some help!
P0015 Code Troubleshooting
1. Electrical side:
*Possible cam position sensor failure. Electrical concerns are suspect when the DTC sets and the engine is off.
*Camshaft oil control valve can get debris in it and cause it to malfunction or fail. Recommendation is to clean and resistance test for correct range of 6.9-7.9 ohms.
2. Mechanical/Hydraulic:
*Possible causes are oil pressure, solenoid, solenoid housing, phaser or timing.
*Timing and oil pressure are possible, but are less likely to only affect one camshaft.
*Mechanical/Hydraulic concerns only occur when the engine running and may or may not have drive-ability symptoms.
