We are in the same boat. I just had my Edelbrock Stage 2 kit delivered 5 minutes ago. Have read through this thread a few times and going to do it again before I start the install this Friday night. Want to make sure I have everything and know every little trick everybody has posted.Well literally after 12 months of deliberation I finally took delivery of my Edelbrock TVS2300 kit today! I know it's the older kit but I got a pretty good deal and couldn't say no!
I am so glad I have come across this thread (all 80 pages read).
I am not a mechanic but I like to tinker. However this is by far the biggest install I have done on any of my cars.
I am taking my time. I've got some upgraded injectors and BAP still on the way so there is no hurry at this stage.
So far so good.
My kit arrived with the plastic IAT sensor. I have emailed Edelbrock but not sure of @Edelbrock Tech can provide info on how to get the brass sensor?
I am not too pushed for time but really need to get it done by the end of next week. I am in Australia so I have to allow for shipping times etc... How difficult is it to remove the IAT sensor once all installed?
I am sure I will have more questions to come. I got the 812 belt and hoping it fits!
Cheers.
This will be my biggest install to date as well. The only experience I have had with a supercharger was in my Dodge Charger. I had a company install it and always regretted it. It never seem to run right and really wished I would have attempted it myself. At least then I would have known how it all went together. I am going to though the install with my two 14 year old sons that are extremely car crazy. I think they are more excited than I am to see it on the car and go for a ride. Should be a fun father/son bonding experience with them. I do have a bother in law that is a mechanic and told him he might have to stop by to help out this weekend if I get stuck.
Thanks to everybody that has posted in this thread and if you have anything I should know in advance I appreciate it.
