The beauty of the EB is that you'll be able to tune it, 400bhp+ here we come - and the V6 is just a 6, no big gains that you can easily tap into.
You're not getting 400bhp with a tune on the EB

And +3 on the V6 comments, but I'm a GT buyer.

I wouldn't drive a 4cyl mustang.... I'f i wanted a 4 banger, id get an Audi A5 (which I almost did! those things are amazing!) I spent too much time regretting my v6 not being a v8 for too long.

But, I'm not going to bash on the ecobooster either... unless someone puts loud obnoxious exhaust on it. This isn't a dodge neon. So I picked the middle

I honestly think a lot of EB owners are going to be disappointed especially when it comes to modding. I vote Ecobust. Plus I hate the Fake artificial synthesized amplified engine noise.

I don't need to hear it. I don't want my speakers playing engine audio but I'll have the 5.0 which doesn't need speaker audio booster magic. :headbonk:

I agree that it's silly to say sports cars can't have 4s; however, I'd hardly call Mustang's history with the 4 cyl. long and lengthy. The SVO is just a blip in a 50 year time line...a cool one, but a blip nevertheless.
The SVO wasn't the only turbo 4 cylinder in the Mustang.

There was a draw through carbed Turbo 4 cylinder in the late 70's up until the SVO was released called the GT Turbo:

That moves the Turbo 4 cylinder models from a blip to having existed for 7 years in the Mustang (1979-1986) or almost a fifth the time the Mustang has been in existence. If 7 years is a blip then the Mustang II and the first generation were a pin head.

Never mind the 21 years we had a 4 cylinder, naturally aspirated, in the Mustang.

You guys are being misled, the ecoboost does not pump fake sounds into the cabin, but rather eliminates sounds, cancellation of unwanted sounds. Similar to noise cancellation headphones. Unplugging the speakers, will mean the cabin will get noisier.

See following article for more info.

Explain the Fuse 27?? Holy crap I think some owners are in denial. They pulled the fuse and the engine noise went silent in the cabin. Fuse 27 is linked with the Stereo...I'm not saying it again jeez

The'79-up's were a blast when the wastegate stopped working. It was a very fun car. Correction: 1974-1993= 19. But yeah they need to stop with the 4 cylinder hatin' Almost half is a long history.

For those who don't like it, forget about it and leave it for the rest of the world and especially for places where taxes and fuel prices are sky high ! EB is the only one that makes sense overhere for mid class budget spenders.

Only way to drive Mustangs overhere would be 25+ aged cars where no special taxes need to be paid ! What I, by the way, already do!

Is everyone basing their "opinion" of the power curve based on what the dyno graph showed? A dyno graph that has an obvious bobble in the data. Are the driving impressions being influenced by the perception that after the torque hit it's perceived as falling on it's face when it should have been short shifted. This isn't rocket science. The engine has been designed to operate in a range, it's optimized for that range, it flows sufficient air in that range. I haven't read the reviews to see if any instrumented track testing was done but I would like to see an ECO PP go against a '14 GT with a professional driver. I'd like to see it on a driving course not a HP course.

I recall when the V6 came out it was found to match the GT on a road course except for it's speed limiter.

Don't hate on the 4 until you get some time in seat with yours.

Out of all the Mustangs, I wonder how many go to the so called track events, and how many JUST drive there car for fun, like straight line stop light fun,I would have to say that's where 90% of the fun is had,and I think that is where the Question comes in on the Eco Boost falling on its face, compared to the GT.

Why would you choose a 4 cyl turbo that weighs basically the same as a V6 and uses the same amount of fuel in real world driving (and worse in hardcore driving). When I go FI on my V6, bye bye ecoboost I4 in all respects. It will eat GT PP for breakfast for $10-15K less! Why would you not want a V6 in a Miata if it weighed the same?
Trust me...many of us wanted a V6 that had Premium and a PP. For the life of me, why would you offer 3 engines but only 5 trims and skip the premium for the V6. Let US DECIDE. Not you Ford.

That Audi A5 is also going to cost you 10-15K more then the equally decked out premium EB though and on top of it is going to still require 93 octane and a hell of a maintenance pocket fee every few years.

Having sat in both, I can tell you the EB Premium is right up there with the Audi interiors and you get way more for your $$$>

The nicer notes of the engine are being pumped into the cabin via the stereo. That has already been confirmed by various Ford engineers and also proven by pulling Fuse #27 (hashtag #Fuse27) and the cabin goes quiet with no engine note.

How is this still being 'debated'? I'm an EB guy not an EB hater but the plain fact is they do amplify the engine sound, along with noise canceling, in the cabin via the speakers. Period.
