Too bad, you'll need it.
I'm not sure if you will but I'm definitely not sure that you won't... Idt there is much to worry about with the six/8 I think the six actually had less problems. We will see soon enough...I've got 40k on my 11 6 with 2k miles on a race tune and it seems fine

FYI I drove the EB today. It's a very nice car, ride, etc. and as a DD I think it would be awesome.

But also someone brought a V6 to the event by pure luck when I was there and I got to sit in it and hear the engine/rev etc. After that I had no interest in the EB. Just my 2 cents.

Also, when comparing the 87 vs 93 octane, we figured out you'd only be saving around $200 a year in gas because of the price difference.

Any mods you do to the EB will most likely void the warranty also FYI.

Why would anyone in their right mind purchase a brand new vehicle and pay between 30K to 40K or more and Void their Factory Warranty? Just wait 6 months and buy one used and do what you want with it if the Warranty don`t mean squat to you.

I don't care about gas savings or warranty on the car. I want a new car so if something goes wrong I know it will be on me not from somebody else driving my car. I'm getting the Eco to mod and take to the strip every so often.

Why would the warranty not apply after 6 months?

Or if someone is really that concerned about the warranty, just buy it and enjoy it stock for a while. It'll still be quicker than the V6 stock for stock. Then mod it in 3 years and make it a monster after the warranty is up or after you have seen other people mod theirs safely. Problem solved

It's good to also remember the warranty can't be voided, they have to prove it was because of your mods. The 6 is less complicated and proven to be fine with mods...so it's safer/cheaper/sounds better/should be more reliable in the long term. If you want to tune it early and you don't want to worry I'd go with 6. If all you are looking for is speed go ecoboost.

I made that same assumption early on, but we won't really know which one is quicker and faster until a side-by-side comparison of equal examples is done (ie, base vs base, manual trans vs manual trans, 3.55 vs 3.55, etc).

The EB's slight HP and more substantial torque advantage led me to believe that the EB would beat the V6 at the drag strip. But that may not be the case. We will have to wait and see.

That's true. Need some V6 people to start testing theirs since we already have some EB numbers. I would also REALLY like to see some V6 dynos so we can see how different the real numbers are between the two and if the V6 does have less HP than last year.
