Traded a 15 GT for a ecoboost. Only thing I miss is stopping at gas station often. Granted me don't drive fast on the street and no longer have interest in taking car to the track as the risk are too high for me these days.
if me didn't drive fast I probably would have traded my GT for this

I thought my 2011 F-150 Ecoboost was fast until I drove the Mustang GT. There really is no comparison.

I don't understand people getting a model then upgrading to GT. You should have measured twice and cut once. So you didn't have enough for a GT, and now you have enough plus taking a couple thousand hit?
Well at first I wanted just a daily driver but after owning my v6 for a few months I got interested in the whole mustang culture and wanted to be in the v8 crowd. It seems like many v6 owners end up in my position and have a bit of regret and usually look into trading for a GT, but I’ve never seen a GT owner regret their purchase. I’d rather trade up for a car that I won’t regret. I’ll take a 2-5k hit I don’t care, I make decent money and I can afford all the monthly payments, I’m just curious how much they will give me for my current v6. Plus I do have a “you only live once” mentality, I’ve had too many close friends die at a young age (shot, heart attack, accidents) to make me think that I too might die someday lol. I’m just going to live for myself now while im single and have no kids. I make money every day anyway it’s not like im homeless.

Yup same here hertz, first car and then got into the culture but I don't regret the v6 cause if I got the GT my money will disappear in the mods I would want to add and with the v6 only wheels would make sense lol will trade up in the future though when I got money :D

personally I would buy an ecoboost. haha.
wait, sorry, ive been drinking all day.
GET A V8.
There's always something better... got a V6, want a GT... got a GT, want a GT350... got a GT350, want a GT350R...

Be happy with what you have dude, enjoy it for a couple years, think about it. There's lots of power and performance in a V6 Stang.

V6 regret their purchase and end up wanting a GT because they get laughed at by the mustang comunity.
GT owners never regret their purchase but wouldnt mind having a 350...ive never heard any GT owner regret their purchase.

I traded my EB for my GT and haven't looked back. Once i got my Corsa exhaust there isn't much else i want for it. When the right deal comes up and you can swing it go for it. You won't regret it.

I would never buy a Pony car without a v8.

That being said the Coyote engine is a great platform, the V6 is nothing
but and average engine at best

I just disagree with this. I wouldn't have bought a Mustang with the 4.6, because for a V8 that engine was really poor. Now the V6 makes more power than many versions of the 4.6 did. It's quite a good engine in my opinion.

The V6 performs like the Coyote's little brother. They have a similar high winding character that I really love.

Hitting those shifts to third at about 55-60 mph and squealing the back tires was a blast in my 2011 V6. I really enjoyed that car. It would have been even better with steeper rear gears.

Maybe you have self confidence issues over this but I have a V6 and I dont regret it. I would never buy a performance car in a smaller engine offering, if performance is what i was mainly after. The mustang is a GREAT looking car, and I purchased one to put 20s on it and make it LOOK like I want it to. If I want to race around town Ill borrow my brothers gallardo, and when I do, im not thinking "Man what if I had a GT"

4.6 was not a poor engine, it just didn't have big power numbers. With a good driver it could do 0-60 in 4.8 seconds stock (Coyote is 4.4). The 4.6 was also reliable, just like the Coyote.

The V6 and the 2.3 Ecoboost can't beat a 4.6 GT with drivers of similar skill level and equal launches. And I'm not trying to say everyone needs a GT, but I just take issue with the revisionist history of the 4.6 just because it isn't a Coyote. Ford squeezed excellent performance out of that thing.

^^^I've had GT Mustangs with 289s, 4.6s, and Coyotes(2)... And my present 2015 Cyclone V-6 Mustang is quicker stock than all the others except the Coyotes. The 4.6s I had were pretty much trouble-free and had a wonderful grumble. But this stock Cyclone Mustang is quicker to the high end than either 4.6 I owned. As I've said before, the Cyclone is Ford's "Rodney Dangerfield's Motor"...you know, "I get no RESPECT"!

First, don't fall for that BS about "the Mustang community". The true Mustang community doesn't care if you got a EcoBoost, V6, V8, S550, S197, Fox, or original. They are all Mustangs. It's a community about Mustangs, not engine choices. The typical people laughing at V6s are idiots in forums online where you can say anything you want, whether you believe it or not, just to get a rise out of someone.

Second, now you have. I went shopping for a GT350 and my SVO dealer told me it would be impossible for me to get a 2015. So instead of waiting until spring 2016, I ordered a 2015 GT. And while I love the car, I regret not waiting and getting the GT350 next spring. But am I gonna trade up? No, that would be a ridiculous waste of money. The one thing I can say is that I thought long and hard about my 2015 purchase, and given what was available, got exactly what I wanted in a GT.

So, if you want to piss your cash away on upgrading your V6 to a GT, go right ahead. It's your judgement, and your choice. All that I'm saying is just don't get sucked into the materialism trap where you're doing this 'upgrade' all the time (in cars, TVs, phones, etc) - because no matter what you buy, something nicer, better, faster, cooler always comes along later.
