Well the Rallye 4 is a pretty clean install in a Mustang, IDK about the Quickfit.

The Quickfit appears to have an extra buckle on the lap belt. I'm not sure where that lap belt is supposed to attach. It also doesn't have the quick release to the rear attachment points, so its probably more intrusive to back-seat passengers than the Rallye.

When you're not using the Rallye, you just detach the rear clip and throw the harnesses behind/under the seat and use the stock seatbelts. The rear attachment portion is unobtrusive/flat enough, rear passengers can just sit on it.
I don't see how they can go under the front seat as they loop through the opening about the shoulders and can't pull out of there. The other ends are attached at the bottoms so they way I see it they are stuck there.

I just ordered a set of these for my GT350 so that I can use my HANS at track days. I discussed it with Ron Sutton before ordering it from him. Even without a roll bar, he said it is going to increase the safety of my car. I hope to get it installed before heading to Autobahn in June.

I just installed these a few weeks ago on a non-Recaro car. Read through this install guide (especially step 8) and the one supplied and installation is easy. They completely unbuckle from the stock positions and quick release from the two added anchors. The lap belt anchor is the same as the Rally. The rear anchor is installed at the factory rear seat belt anchor bolt and has to be bent to fit properly (instructions provided will show the appropriate angle) but has the same quick release as the front. When not installed it does not interfere with rear seat passengers.

I have the factory seats, so IDK. You could probably still easily drape them behind the seats to use the stock belts, but yeah they will have to pass through the shoulder slots.

Schroth QuickFit Pro

I started to install a set of Schroth QuickFit Pro harnesses in my 2017 GT350 and hit a snag. The stock shoulder harness does not attach directly to a Torx screw as shown in the directions. It ends as a cable that goes into (what I assume is) a seatbelt pretensioner. So, I stopped.

Has anyone installed these harnesses in conjunction with the pretensioner? If so, please describe which screw you used to attach the Schroth piece and any special precautions taken. A picture would be nice, too. Thanks.

The pictures on Pg 1 of this thread were accurate for me.

Give us a pic and we can tell you what's off.

The stock harness goes to a cable which terminates behind the seat seemingly in an impossible place to access. I got instructions from Cody McLean at HMS when installing mine and it was easy. The trick is to remove the rear seat first, then pull the carpet away from the side of the car all the way down to the seat. After doing that, the attachment point is accessible (just). You remove the front bolt, loosen the rear bolt, put the Schroth mount under the factory mount and bolt it back together. Cody gave me two pictures to show the fitting (because he can get a camera into places you can't get your head) and a little video. The pictures were useful. The video not so much. The whole installation was pretty darned easy once you get over the "problem" of the outer lap belt mounting point.

Unfortunately, I can't find the pictures on my computer, but I'm sure Cody would be glad to send them to you. (I tried to download them again, but they weren't available at the location he gave me, but that was six months ago.)

BTW, I added a crotch strap to mine because when I use a HANS device it tends to pull the lap belt up a bit which is undesirable. I use it as 4 points on the street.

Best,
<TED>

I added a couple of pictures to my post above. What do you think? Is that thing under tension or going to explode? Or, can I use that T50? Thanks.

Your good man it's a tensioner in case of an accident. You'll Be fine. Did this on my ecoboost and on my Shelby

I installed the quick fit pro last week. Yes just take out front torq and put your bracket in. I did the back seat area slightly different. I attached to the existing seat belts in the rear vs the two child seats.

I had Schroth on the phone and they are about to update their instructions to support 6gen. They also set me a couple of pics and a short 44s vid to show what to do for the front connection you are questioning. That is the only difference between the 5th and 6th gen instructions. I will post up some pics.

I cant get the vid to upload - If anyone needs I can send

I just did this install last week in a 2016 (with some picture help from jabrax).

For the outside/front buckle, I had to remove the front bolt and loosen the back one on the pretensioner. After that, I was able to slide the bracket between the pretensioner and the frame. Then I used a little locktite, tightened them down, and finished them off with a torque wrench.

I had to bend the brackets to get them to fit right, but then it was no problem. Bending them is indicated in the schroth instructions, so that's fine to do, just don't do it repeatedly or too far.

I just completed this on my GT350 and I'm pretty sure the GTs are exactly the same in this area. You do not need to remove the plastic whatsoever from the rear. You do, however, need to remove the small plastic by the door area. What I did was simply bend the plastic back a little (it's very flexible so it doesn't show any damage) that is at the bottom of the shoulder seatbelt.

So solid mounting the bracket to the seat belt pretentioner bolt means, it does NOT take advantage of the lap belt pretentioner. In the case of an accident that would set this off. It would need to be attached to the cable to accomplish this.

Kinda misleading advertisement. Maybe it’s another car that it works with, just not the Mustang in this case.

AM advertises.... By using the stock seat belt receptacles the vehicle is aware that a person is seated and restrained, silencing the warning chime as well as taking full advantage of the factory seat belt pre-tensioner.

From the Schroth website..... This alerts the airbag computer to the fact that someone is in the seat and restrained, as well as takes advantage of the seat belt pre-tensioner. This device ignites a pyrotechnic charge in the event of an accident that will tighten the lap belt.
