For those interested we just came out with our harness mount bar for the S550 Mustangs. This helps put the belts at a better angle and mounts them directly behind the driver. Here is a link to our sub forum for more info.

cop on my back I use my harness on track and I have never heard the seat belt alarm go off.

pinero61 Looks great. Likely the route I will take if I decide to track the car more. Do you have any pics of the forward mounting points? Did you just cut the carpet to get to it?

Thanks.

It bolts directly to the bulk head behind the seats using existing bolts. Seems to be a really strong mounting point.

I am halfway through the install of this harness in my car and I'm wondering what people do for daily driving? I'm sure you don't use the harness all the time and it can't be easily removed. Seemed to me you can flip the harness behind the seat and buckle it so it doesn't flop around.

What do some you guys do? Might have to make up a "dummy clip" for the seat belt buckle when on the track for the chime and indicator.

We have our seat belt reminders turned off since new, it's in the owners manual on page 33.

I don't mind the reminder to come on, when my GF gets in the car she sometimes forgets and I don't notice. Pretty easy to just have a little clip to clip into the buckle. I will get the guys in the machine shop to make a couple for me.

But back to the harnesses, I am wondering what to do when not using them and how others have dealt with that. I may end up going with the removable ones from Scroth.

Anobody uses Schroth Quickfit ? What really is the difference vs. Rallye 3/4 (short of being easily detachable and little more expensive) ?

Well the Rallye 4 is a pretty clean install in a Mustang, IDK about the Quickfit.

The Quickfit appears to have an extra buckle on the lap belt. I'm not sure where that lap belt is supposed to attach. It also doesn't have the quick release to the rear attachment points, so its probably more intrusive to back-seat passengers than the Rallye.

When you're not using the Rallye, you just detach the rear clip and throw the harnesses behind/under the seat and use the stock seatbelts. The rear attachment portion is unobtrusive/flat enough, rear passengers can just sit on it.
