The problem is, that option resets every time you turn off/on your car. And it still doesn't remove the notification - only the active braking.

The only way is to remove it with forscan.
Which, by the way, is not recommended. If you were to get into an accident there is a chance you could be found at fault because a safety system was turned off. Yes, it's out there but these days you just never know.

Unfortunately, Ford must have changed it from the 2020 model to the 2021 model. I was able to permanently disable mine in the menu. Mine doesn't even give an audible or visual warning. Just another form of "big brother" doing what they want. Just like the electric cars being pushed down our throats.

Well there is always this..........

Note: If you perceive pre-collision assist alerts as being too frequent or disturbing, you can reduce the alert sensitivity, though the manufacturer recommends using the highest sensitivity setting. Setting lower sensitivity would lead to fewer and later system warnings.

Note: The system turns off when you manually disable AdvanceTracTM, or when you select track mode.

I have no reason not to believe you - but I will need to test this out for sure. Maybe driving in track mode is the way to go!

Like I said in a previous post - my pre collision alert goes off randomly with no cars in sight. My local Ford dealership says their is nothing wrong with this system because they cant replicate the phantom alerts 🙄 And I agree with the OP, its an annoying system that I do not want.

Is there a way to disable the Pre-Collision Alert? I have a 2021 mustang GT with the premium package.
I have turned it to the minimum setting but it constantly goes off on people exiting a roundabout or if I need to cut around some idiot sticking out in my lane. It is more likely to cause an accident then help me, as it beeps and makes my screen flash red which takes my eyes off the road.
I believe the "Dyno Plug" located in the engine bay (on my 2016 PP its on the driver side inside engine bay) turns off all these functions to include the traction controls. However, you will have the dreaded dash light on after the disconnect.

I really appreciate all these non-answers and personal attacks. Happens when it is clean, and I don't tailgate ever, usually leave at least 2 seconds of travel time between myself and the car in front of me. But sometimes people are very slow leaving a roundabout or like I said, stick out into traffic. It basically goes off as I am passing them, drives me nuts and is not helpful.
Not sure if something changed between model years but I had the red warning LEDs reflecting off the windshield only went on twice for me in all the time I've had the car and it only came on when a car in front suddenly stopped and I ended up really close after braking hard. I've not had it come on other than that, though I admit I hate the auto braking when someone it slow in turning off the road as even when they've already sort of completed the turn and I'm clear of any chance of hitting his rear corner, the braking still activates. Yep, I don't like that either but I keep it on only because I kind of like ACC where I don't have to keep disabling and enable cruise control like on my old car that doesn't have ACC. Having the car slow down and speed back up as traffic varies speed from my set cruise speed is nice to have (not everyone keeps a constant speed on the freeways).

I have a 21 and don't have to change it back to warning only every time?? I find that it is a bit sensitive and goes off unnecessarily, but I would also say it's not a surprise as it's just reacting to me going around someone...maybe a little close or aggressively.
