Is there a way to disable the Pre-Collision Alert? I have a 2021 mustang GT with the premium package.
I have turned it to the minimum setting but it constantly goes off on people exiting a roundabout or if I need to cut around some idiot sticking out in my lane. It is more likely to cause an accident then help me, as it beeps and makes my screen flash red which takes my eyes off the road.

Leave a bigger gap to the car in front and it will not go off!

Maybe the 'idiot' doesn't realise you 'own' the lane?

Must be nice living in unicorn fart land in your mind.
When you are on the main road and a vehicle sticks it's nose out into the lane they are in the wrong and why they are found 100% at fault when they cause a wreck.

Also when you are not used to a vehicle with nannie warnings set up for the most numb skull drivers out there, it can be alarming at first.
Some of us look at the road and not our phones and don't NEED a nanny warning. but
YMMV. Maybe you need it.

Why, seems like the car is telling you NOT to tail gate people or that it needs washed.

I really appreciate all these non-answers and personal attacks. Happens when it is clean, and I don't tailgate ever, usually leave at least 2 seconds of travel time between myself and the car in front of me. But sometimes people are very slow leaving a roundabout or like I said, stick out into traffic. It basically goes off as I am passing them, drives me nuts and is not helpful.

I disabled the pre-collision alert on my car, a 2020 eco-boost, because I do a lot of driving on two lane roads. So, when I go to pass someone who is going under the speed limit, I accelerate towards him and then pull out and complete the pass. The first time I did this and the alert was on, as I got nearer the car to be passed, the car dramatically slowed and I wasn't even that close to him. I then disabled the pre-collision alert by finding it in the menu and turning it off. So I agree with Bizarostormy with his desire to disable the alert. I do not like all the drivers aids today's cars have. Some of them but not most.

Where did you find the menu to disable it? I have seen options to make it less sensitive but I don't see an off option. I will dig around more when I get home, I'm wondering if this is something they removed for my model year.

Mine randomly goes off with NO ONE on the road.

Its utterly stupid and the sensing device by the rear view mirror has already died once (fixed under warranty) I hate all these so called safety nannies - which only cause more distractions. At least give me the option to turn it off. But I digress.

The only way to disable it is to use forscan. @Vlad Soare knows more about this than I do. I could never get my forscan to work 😅

I believe this answers my question, thank you! Just ordered an OBDLink, will be interesting to see everything I can turn on and off.
It will be more involved than just switching on and off options for different "features"

From the Settings menu, select Driver Assist > Pre-Collision. Toggle Active Braking on or off. With Active Braking disabled, the Ford Pre-Collision Assist will notify you when a collision risk is detected but will not assist in braking to avoid a collision. This is what I was able to come up with for an answer to your question, Bizarostormy. I hope this works. It's supposed to. Good luck.

The problem is, that option resets every time you turn off/on your car. And it still doesn't remove the notification - only the active braking.

The only way is to remove it with forscan.

Isn't that what you kind of expect on this forum? Kidding , of course. Check your owners manual Page 202. Everything you need is there.
