So basically I have a 2019 PP2 that I have idiotically decided as my base for my latest drift car build. We just got done installing coilovers and angle kit as well as SDE magneride delete resistors front and rear and did the associated ride height calibration via a snap on scan tool as prescribed. And so far I’ve twice gotten the message “suspension fault, speed limited to 80mph” “driver mode selection unavailable”. My understanding is that the mag ride stuff is controlled via the “vehicle dynamics module”, I’m curious if it might be possible to swap over a VDM from a non magneride car and that would eliminate my issues?? Any input would be appreciated.

That's a really tough one to know. If it actually plugs in and has the necessary contacts in the required positions, then it could work. You'd have to go in with ForScan (or maybe something more powerful) and put your car VIN on the VDM, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Not yet, the company I bought the MR delete kit from is sending me a newly designed kit that will hopefully be the solution. I’ll update after I put some miles on the new kit. Hopefully it does the trick.

I have a feeling we are waiting on the same parts. SDE is sending me updated sensors and ride height sensors

What made you choose SDE brand over Xineering?

I don't think non-magneride cars have VDM. It's a suspension controller, there is no reason for it in the non-MR car (and manual seems to confirm it).

I haven't. Still deciding which brand to get. But not enough feedback out there to make a judgment call.

so, mine sat parked while i waited on a the parts. Mine is only the rear sensors deleted and I took it out and drove it yesterday and the suspension faults went away. It came back once, but since has been gone. Im so confused. I will say though. I did mine to help my 60ft on the street and no prep tracks, and holy cow a quick dig on the street and this thing feels WAY better. Youll never convince me MR is the answer like some people say.

Redesigned SDE plugs installed today. So far no issues but will update if the issues return.
