If you do sound deadened, don’t forget to do the door skins. This of course will require removing the inner door trim panel, but hey, while you’re at it, add better door speakers (another DD mod thst you will appreciate.

yes, i'd really appreciate a nice phone holder ... but where?? dont have nav, or carplay - so phone-as-gps is desireable. just cant imagine a practical and tasteful way to mount one.
imagination isnt my strong point though
There are a few different kinds. I chose the to put my phone on the door, but there is one that mount on the dash between the air ducts, there is one i've seen that mounts from the rear view mirror. Its all on what you want.

I added dynamat to a 1966 GTO it made a huge difference , but it also added 144 lb just in the rubber sound deadner .
People already complain that the mustang is a heavy pig, adding more weight isn't part of a performance cars plan, even if 90% of the owners will never use the car hard enough to feel the difference.
Also they are fighting to keep the vehicles weight down to get the best mpg for the c.a.f.e. reg's even while another fed dept keeps forcing the vehicle to get heavier in the name of safety.
You must have really added a lot of deadener, and GTOs are quite large. I doubt I've even added 30 lbs to my Mustang. But even if it was 144 it would be worth it IMO for driving around on the street. And I doubt you would notice the weight in a car that's about 3800 already.

If you really want a light car, Mustang isn't a great choice anyway.

I can't say what I think about CAFE on here, but I bought a relatively big car with a V8, so you probably have an idea just based on my other actions.

Idk what all these people are talking about, I would knife edge the crank, sleeve the cylinders, replace the pistons cams and connecting rods and put a blower on it. Shoot for 900 to the wheel. Ya know, to go get groceries and stuff

I was thinking of those too. But I use Waze heavily, dont want a cable over my lap, hence dropped the idea. But GF could use one.
Does AA not have aftermarket adaptors like car play ?

Yeah just drive it.

This car is fast enough for me and I’ve got tickets to prove that .

I did do a few minor mods that make it a better daily But my motor and suspension are stock.

Radar Detector on a Blend Mount
Dash Cam
MBRP Street exhaust
Steeda Jacking rails
Steeda Clutch Spring
Steeda hood strut mounts
JLT Catch Can

I like your idea but it’s a mustang, rig something up with a thong and the phone secured behind the little triangle bit … :giggle:

Would you mind posting the Steeda Clutch Spring item number or post a link, please?

I do have a suggestion for OP if not already mentioned: window tints. I live in south Florida and they do have a purpose.

Get that stop the hop wheel kit (before it’s too late) and prevent breaking half shafts and tearing up differential bushings. This can be a real issue with the S550 Mustang. See the before and after in this video.
