Hey guys, I'm hoping to have some input from guys who daily their car and are NA and have done a manifold swap mainly the 350 manifold why and do you regret it or love it.

My car is a 2017 performance pack 6 speed. Tune only. I'm looking at basically doing a ford powerpack 3 but custom tune, just the manifold with throttle adapter, or stock manifold do something line a power-pack 2 with a custom tune.

Hows the drivability not WOT and just around town conditions.

Noticeable difference in the power in the 1500-4000rpm range just driving around town? Curious if the IMRC help negate tq loss when they are closed.

Car is only a daily but I like to give it some here and there. I do not race.

Thanks

Your car will drive around town just fine at any power level. I drive my 1000+ HP TT Mustang to the grocery store or work occasionally.

If you are not hammering into the gas they drive normally. At 1-4k RPMs you will probably hardly notice anything.

My last mustang was a 17, I did the power pack 2.. a daily driver also, the Ford software adds a F ton of ignition timing, I needed to add octane booster to 93, but the car was a nasty nasty car... sounded great with that Shelby intake also.... I also developed what sounded like a lifter tick and shortly after that I traded it in...

I installed it myself and that voided the warranty either way it's crazy for daily driving. But a lot of fun

I personally haven't noticed any difference in lower end performance with the 350 intake manifold, and it's all better on top. No regrets.

Strokerswild, Did you go from stock no tune to 350 intake?

Really? I ran the power pack 1 for a while on just 91 with no issues then saved that tune with mpvi2 and basically copied the whole thing to my own tune. Literally timing tune only. But there's more in it for 93 optimization.

The tune only is quite strong for sure. Looking for some extra cause I know there is some there but yet I really hate the power drop off after 6500 when I actually pull that far. I know the stock tq is even with the 350 manifold then at 4000 the 350 manifold does better all the way up.

Does anyone know if you have to downshift on the highway if going uphill?
