Windsor Ontario here, and I daily my GT as well. Driving a good combination of 90km/h for 80 Km's and getting super mileage at about 8.8 l/100, and some good city driving stop and go as well. Terrible mileage in the city....15 l/100..... Maybe 16 l/100. Driven in snow and with winters it's fine. Love the car personally. Hope you enjoy if you get.
Too much metric make brain hurt.

Lol, I figured I'd make work for it a bit! Lol
When you've owned cars that could barely get down to 14L/100 on the highway in bone-stock condition, the S550 is an economy car even in GT trim.

Andrew - it's really hard to put a $ value on the matter of "fun to drive", which has always been of high priority every time we went car shopping.

Although my commutes were mostly pretty short, opting for 'fun' rarely failed to put me in a happier frame of mind in less than the typical 20 minutes it took me to get home. Getting in the car at the end of the day, turning on the radio, and tuning out the rest of the world for those few minutes made for a great little mental CTRL-ALT-DEL.

We're both retired now (and still in NJ), but neither of us has any desire to ever own some mindless little transportation device.

I'm a pentester and you're an auditor. I wonder if part of my job helps clients prepare for guys like you :D depends on what kind you are I suppose, lol.

Anyways, I work from home (and travel periodically) and I still drive this car every single day just for the hell of it. I think personally there's really no situation to where this car wouldn't be the right car, unless I got married and had over 3 kids. As long as you can afford to buy it and put gas in it, it's the perfect car IMHO

I like you sir. I like you a lot!

Thanks everyone for the replies and for cementing my decision in the Mustang (unless the RS gets a solid release date that's in March or April). Now I just have to decide on a color. :frusty:

Great decision on the Mustang. I daily my 15 GT about 42 miles total per day. It makes me smile at the end of my work day when i get to drive it home.

2016 PP GT. I'm in Columbia, SC and drive my car up to 70 miles round trip for work on my workdays. Bought my car December 15 last year and have over 4000 miles on her currently. Wouldn't have it any other way!

Interesting thread!

I love my GT. It's my only car and I wouldn't have it any other way. Even if I owned a DD I'd still probably end up taking this to work, running errands, etc.

My commute to work is about 20min/14-miles long (one-way). For me, that's not enough. Often times, I'll take the long way home or find any reason just to drive after work. I go on countless pointless drives at all different hours of the day and night.

I look forward to any reason/obligation/purpose or excuse to drive this car. I genuinely love it and while it's not perfect (nothing is), it's the first car I've actually been satisfied with. It goes like hell, makes a glorious noise and has the looks to match.

Quick reality check - I only get about 110-140 miles per tank. I blame the car. It's too much fun for me to drive calmly 99% of the time. I average about 10.5-14mpg on the higher end. Any tips?

I was gonna pay off my '12 V6 and use it as a daily once I got a new Stang. But, I decided why pay insurance on two cars when I know I'll only wanna drive the new one. So, traded it in. Couldn't be happier!

I was in a similar boat wanting a "more fun" daily on an Accord budget. Got the V6. Way more fun than an accord. Get the GT if you can swing it, but I'm thankful they made one for us Accord people! Good gas mileage and my motor is the truck motor. Should be long lasting and cheap to maintain. Very happy having it as a DD instead of other options in the low 20's price range.

But did you thorough enjoy those 20K miles? That's the true question.

Just got this 2008 F150 for a thousand bucks
It's my DD now, it has roll up window and no electric door lock, radio is FM/AM only. I fixed it up from trash.

When I get back into the GT it's like alien technology

My 2015 Ecoboost is my daily driver. While I don't drive as far as you, I commute about 100 miles/day. This isn't my only car, I have a 2006 Mustang GT that I started to race but turned show car. That one is a garage queen and only comes out on nice days. As you can see from my signature, I haven't hesitated to modify.

I chose the Ecoboost because of the gas mileage and my commute. The EB being better weight balanced is a joy to drive! The power is very surprising too. A simple tune really wakes it up too!
