I saw this one at the drag strip with bull horns and bullet holes in it a couple of months ago. He was actually racing it too.

Finally saw one on the road last night. Tried to snap a pic but he got his turn arrow before I could grab my phone. Had rust drips down the side of the truck. And my goodness is it UGLY. I don’t understand the fascination with it other than the Tesla fanboys/girls will worship anything produced by Musk or someone has to have the newest thing. If anyone here has one I’m sorry but it’s the ugliest vehicle I’ve ever seen.
I also saw one in NJ in a local parking lot. I too don’t see the attraction to it, or why anyone would want to buy such a vehicle. To me, seeing it in person, it was not all that large, the view from the windows/cabin has to be horrible at best and . . . it is just ugly. Resale value on used examples will be in the garbage. It’s just not an appealing design.

Unless/until battery costs severely decline, EV resale values are going to suck big time. All of the Tesla models are either boring or just outright hideous. If we’re going to be forced to buy them at some point (gosh I hope not and it seems like some manufacturers are starting to push back thankfully), they can at least look decent. Audi has a couple of beautiful EV models, including the Supercar-looking E-Tron GT. Someone around my neighborhood has one and it’s gorgeous. Will try to snag a pic of it at some point but I would buy an EV that looks like that

I agree that the cybertruck is pretty ugly but that doesn't stop me from wanting one just because it is so unique.

Elon, take my money already!! 🤑

There's one of those abominations locally. I thought they were ugly in pictures, wow.

There's so much waviness in those panels that I swear they were made in a high school metal shop.

I really like it as an engineering experiment put into mass production. It is so rare these days for somebody not play safe.

This is how we ended up with a sea of SUV's that all look the same across all manufacturers, perform exactly the same and come in 3 variations of grey color. Trucks are same stuff.

I would own one if it was a bit less money. Just don't buy first few production years (same can be said about any Ford product 😝)

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/article/2024/jun/25/tesla-cybertruck-recall

This article, released today. New recall for the CyberTruck. Other problems are summarized as well.

"Tesla said it is recalling 11,688 Cybertrucks from the 2024 model year because the front windshield wiper motor controller failed due to excessive electrical current. Non-functioning wipers could increase the risk of a crash in wet weather. The wiper recall covers all trucks built through 6 June."
