I was thinking the same thing. When I was back in Chicago with my SRT club that’s all we did. We would join up on Saturdays grab some beer and food and go to a members garage who owns some lifts and just have a weekend of it.Too bad you can’t find a Mustang group nearby…we used to have ”mod parties” back in the day. All the guys with no tools and/or experience would roll up to an OGs house and supply the beer/pizza to help get it done![]()
these guys tuned my cobra. absolutely top shelf.Go to HPC. "High performance connection". They've done work for me, and it's always been professional, and they've done a great job.
Close to home is almost always better. Personally, I hate leaving my car any longer than I have too, so, the closer it is to home, the better.Just talked with Manuel, he told me $400 and they are close to home.
Appreciate the help, you guys are great!
I think a better clutch is gonna be the cure for gear lockout.Does the MGW shifter get rid of 3rd gear lockout completely or do you still need a different clutch too?
Yeah, even with all my mods I get lockout once in a blue moon when im pushing closer to 8k rpm shifts.I think a better clutch is gonna be the cure for gear lockout.
Great idea on the clutch line, Steeda?Mine was 250$ for the MGW install at a performance shop. I provided Motul DCTF and stainless clutch line and was all done at same time. All in, probs 350$. Makes the car so much better, I recommend you do better trans fluid and change the line out to a stainless one while in there.
I have same issue. My back is Fubar and am unable to be under cars anymore. Doing jobs myself now takes 3 times as long D/T pain and mobility issues from it. Then pain for good while after.
McLeod SS lineGreat idea on the clutch line, Steeda?
No you don't have to remove the trans. On a serious note aren’t shifter installs a trans out thing on these cars? I’d get your bang for the buck and do a fresh clutch/flywheel if you’re doing all that.
