I like to disassemble things.
I'll avoid the politics here but suffice it to say I consume as much information as I can and everyone is refuting the next guy.

The Governor requested a reduction in usage to prevent blackouts and support the grid.

We have a program where people and businesses sign up for load shedding in exchange for cheaper rates. Typically in the heat of summer they get a notice beforehand, then a "smart- meter" shuts off power for a arranged time. Only actual equipment failures cause blackouts.
I know your Governor requested a reduction in usage. I was speaking to what you said about Iowa "having rolling blackouts to send extra power to the Texas grid." I'm not seeing that anywhere.

The media implied it was to support Texas, but The Chairman is right, Texas IS on it's own gridšŸ˜³.
MidAmerican in Iowa can draw on places like Manitoba Hydro in Canada.
I guess we're giving it to Oklahoma, Sorry.

Hood is ready but due to our apacolipse last week here, they are behind and my car repair is not critical. Car is going in next Tuesday for the hood to be mounted and stripped. It should be ready the following day or Thursday.

Possibly from having monkey sex on top of the hood?
Get out of my head Tomster. lol! 1969 Mach One rear glass worked pretty good and American Racing Equipment spoiler made a pretty good foot hold!

Bodies sitting on hoods for photoshoots? I'm glad to see they're that fragile and who knows it may turn out to be an issue for more of us at some point. Sure hope not.

They mounted the hood and determined that Oxford white ain't always Oxford white. The color did not match. Sooooo, they repainted the hood today and they feel the color is a match now. I can pick it up tomorrow. One problem, they won't put the stripes on the hood for two weeks. They want the paint fully cured. I have been told water based paint these days does not need anywhere near that much time to cure but hey, what's the big deal if I can drive the car. It is ok to drive but not put stripes on according to the body shop. Anyway, I will get the car tomorrow or the next day and drive it for the weekend with a stripeless hood. That should look odd. Then I am out of town for three weeks so the car won't go back until the last week of March for the stripes to be put on. The car will be sitting in my garage for those three weeks because I don't want the car sitting at the body shop for that long.

She looks funny without her makeup.
Hood alignment is 100 % better. No high spots hood it even with the front end and fenders.

It might be the light, but i do see what your seeing at some angles and matching in others.
Ya idk if you look at the roof pic looking down to hood that looks quite a bit yellow, this is what worries me about getting my hood repaired as I also have Oxford white

how do you like your bike hooks? What brand are they? I was going to get some but was concerned the bike would fall on the car.

Hood alignment looks absolutely perfect.

Is the rest of the car filmed? Perhaps thatā€™s why the color of the hood looks off to the rest of the car?

IMO that does not match at all. Maybe im picky, but someone said it matches in 1 pic and not the other....it doesn't in any. OP check this before it gets too late and they won't fix it.
Haven't had the time to check mine as I've been away. I get back tomorrow so I'll check then to see if theres cracks. This painting ordeal makes me want to clear epoxy the cracks....

Hey bro you donā€™t think the hood looks quite a bit yellow tint compared to the car ?
After looking at the pics I was like shit, thatā€™s horrible. Itā€™s the pics. I picked it up in 100% daylight and it was a match. Went back out just now and looked again, itā€™s all good.
The lighting in the garage is causing the color difference in the pics.
