Is this what everyone else sees from the driver's seat? I'm guessing no.
If the hood wasn't so tall in the center this would never be seen but that's not the case.

I have been waiting a year for someone else to post this. This was probably the first thing I noticed when I got in the car the day I drove it home. While mine is not as bad as yours because it is a darker color, I have always seriously considered painting that entire section matte black.

First thing I noticed too the next day when I went for a drive and it was daylight. LOL

So, not enough paint in that section? Allowing primer to show thru?
My new 2004 Cobra had that issue above the rear license plate.
Black matte vinyl would be a decent solution unless Ford wants to respray it.

My original hood was exactly the same. My new hood has proper coverage. So 50 years from now that will be one of those “original” paint is correct. Mine won’t be. Like over spray in the headlight area of 60’s Cuda’s. I think that’s the car that’s is known for that on true originals.

didn't think about it like that. Good way of looking at it though. Of course 50 years from now I’m not going the even care. 😂

If you guys had Kona Blue, you would have never noticed it. Matte black would make it less
noticeable, but I think once it has "bugged" you, you'll have a hard time not seeing it.
