After looking at the pics I was like shit, that’s horrible. It’s the pics. I picked it up in 100% daylight and it was a match. Went back out just now and looked again, it’s all good.
The lighting in the garage is causing the color difference in the pics.
Absolutely, that is it. Knew that from the first photos. Taking photos of my FPB in the garage, the hood, fenders and other body parts don't look like they match either. Top lighting comes from LED lights on ceiling, side lighting (different Kelvin) comes from outside windows then there is the different angles of the body parts that reflect light differently. Unless he color is black or other very dark colors, there are always differences in shades and color tones.

how do you like your bike hooks? What brand are they? I was going to get some but was concerned the bike would fall on the car.
When I get back home I’ll take a pick. They are very secure. Mounted to the studs.

<smiling> We rely far too much on the hardware behind a phone camera these days but the truth is, they aren't a whole lot better than a point and shoot. HK was correct, it's all about the lighting. If it matches perfectly outdoors, (which I feel sure it did since mismatched factory colors are pretty rare IMHO,) then it's all about the camera. Probably gave HK a heart attack. <smile>

Just got home... first thing I did was start the car. Great news is after sitting since December 16th, starts right up with no battery tender. Could not find a crack in the support but I noticed what people were saying about the rubber stops being up too high. Normally I drop from about 8 inches to close. Dropped them down and it now closes on a 4 ish inch drop

So here is a photo of my hood on the night I picked up my car. Little did I know that there was a misalignment at the time. I did notice the next day and text my dealer. I lowered my hood stop but it didn't seem to make any difference. Tomorrow I will investigate if there are any cracks. My drivers side hood pin also will not open with just a push, I have to push it in and lift the hood.
I told the dealer I would bring the car to them to correct the adjustment since I didn't seem to have any luck.I'm currently at 750 miles. The 2nd photo (wet car) is how the hood is currently.

Well no hood cracks that I could see only this little one and it appears to be just the paint.

I wouldn’t be so sure ... :frown:

Why would the paint crack without any movement underneath it ?

I hope your hood isn’t cracked, but if it is I hope you get it sorted out OK :like:

Look carefully at the back side, I bet the crack goes all the way through the lip. What is the
straight hairline mark on the part of the brace that is against the hood? Is that an extension
of the crack around the radius of the brace or just a mark?

Back side had no signs of anything like this, that why I was thinking it may just be the paint for now. I'm going to keep an eye on it for sure because there had to be some sort of stress there.

I have one on each side that look like yours, but they go through. I tend to agree that they look
like the cracks were there before the paint was applied. The paint seems to taper into the crack,
(does not have a sharp edge).
