Covid19 could just be a cover for those who are in power take control and subjugate all of us. I always thought they would us the excuse of a terrorist attack to take control but what better way to get most of the population to be willing give up their rights than the threat of dyeing because of a supposed pandemic. I think this article shows the frame work is now being put in place to make us all slaves.

GW Bush grew the power of central Government more than any recent president with the excuse of "making it safe" and "preventing terrorism" Ironic for a party that insists they want small government.

Hard to believe that is even true. Sounds like something the Onion or CNN would put out there.

If you are saying that the Republicans and Democrats are essentially identical to each other, we can agree on that. That's the entire reason Trump is in office. The voting public has lost confidence in the Republican party.

Yes, of course. That makes sense. Someone needs to hide in the basement with saltines until they come to their senses.
Agreed. It is an unfortunate situation in which the results will be a massive power grab when all is said and done. How it ultimately plays out is a complete unknown???

And to think that just a few short months ago our biggest concern was Ford naming a CUV a Mustang. Ah, for the good old days!

Yeah, I'm a Republican. I hate my party since they always vote with Democrats. They lie and vote for socialism because that's how they get re-elected. They disgust me.

To be fair, the Dems do some of the same. For example, they say they will stop our troops' presence in other countries and then don't actually do it. The only thing I can think of is the Rs and Ds are both taking money from the same big money interests - so both tend to do the same things.

I totally agree. I don't think Dems are saints, not by a long shot. I vote Republican mostly because they are less looney than Democrats.

At the end of the day that's all that counts for them. Get elected, reelected, and staying in office. I do not think there are any other jobs out there that pay as much (salary & benefits) for those who do so little.

They cannot stop fighting long enough to get a stimulus bill passed. On top of that our healthcare system is slowly but surely collapsing under the weight of this pandemic.

I vote R mostly because I prefer their lies. I realize that "giveaway math" doesn't add up and I don't want to live in a socialist country. I think the Rs might get us there slightly more slowly.
