Cooled seats not cooling

I plan on driving naked, so I'm confident the cooling will be pretty effective.

Got the car back this am from having the TSB done.

Ambient temperature was low 60s.

I ran the seat heater and it seemed very weak. Still the bias was toward the bottom and not the back. Wearing a polo shirt and jeans, i could barely feel a bit of warmth on the back after about 5 minutes while the bottom was getting uncomfortable.

TSB was done last week, on the phone with FORD rep today to tell them this is BS....FIX the damn seats. She told me they are working like design, told her the design sucks. I asked "why can't the back cool as well as the seat bottom"? So have another appt back at the dealer even though I told the rep the dealer can't do anything else. Smh.

There is a 75-page thread on this topic. Bottom line: they don't work very well, if at all. There is a TSB repair available, if you'd like to make yours worse. That is all.

The cooled seats in the Fords work better than any other car I have used them in and that includes luxury brands. The Mustang cooled seats seems to work great to me but it's true they don't give me frostbite like the 2011 F250 King Ranch I used to tow stuff with.

My Mustangs seat coolers come nowhere near the ones in my Lexus.

Your seat backs get as cold as the bottoms? Have you used them continuously for more than 20 minutes?

Most who report having the TSB done are disappointed with the results - some even work worse than before.

Hmm, the cooled seats in the 2016 GT Premium I test drove last week worked fine. For comparison I'd say it felt like I was sitting on a cool tile floor.

The bottom cushion cools fine, it's the back of the seat that doesn't cool well, if at all.

Did you have the TSB done with bad results?

After the first ten people who did get the TSB stated no change or worse, I cancelled my appointment. No point in letting them ruin my seats for no benefit.
