They just circulate cold air in the car. So you need A/C that works. Ha. Then you need it really cold. And then you need the seat to circulate the really cold air until the mechanism creates so much heat, it defeats the purpose. Worst design ever.
I removed my UPR catch can. After 5 years, the cheap fittings and hoses were leaking and I had a thin film of oil on the nearby engine cover and parts.
I filled the coolant to the max line yesterday when cold. Today it varied between 198-208 on the ride to work, which is about normal for my car. Like I said, I have had this car for almost 5 years and do not recall the fans ever coming on, at least that I could hear.
I have a 2015 GT that normally tops out about 207-209 degrees for cylinder head temps before it cools down to about 198-199 and today I noticed it get up to 217 in stop and go traffic. Normal or cause for concern? Car was running fine. By the way, I don't think I ever hear the cooling fan...
