Texas in August? Yeah I'd get a car with the coolers.
Unless you just want to tinker, which some enjoy, i’d just look at 17s...only issue is it is kinda tough to find the comfy seats. But then you hop into something you don’t have to do anything to...and prices aren’t that mich higher
I wasn't willing to take a loss on my tech pack trading it for a 17+, so I'm keeping it. Eventually buying the transmission and rear diff cooler FP offers. Right now I'm running a custom trans cooler. Love the car, pissed I have to deal with heat issues on a track day. Gotta pay to play I guess.
^These.

To do the conversion right, it will involve a new transmission. Either buy the 16 tech (And live with the differences) or buy a 17 with electronics package

Something i forgot to mention, i went through a similar transition...a 16GTPP premium to a 17 350 with recaros.

At first i was bummed about losing the heated and cooled(which soon became heated) seats, even on the test drive i was weary of the tight fitting Recaro...no way I could go back to the comfy seats now. Being in that snug seat has a purpose and it just feels good to me now. Like i’d put some in a fox body if they didn’t cost as much as the car:cheers:

Texas or not, if you aren't going to track it, i wouldn't be afraid of a 16 w/o track pack.

OP why do you need the GT350 for low-speed daily commute?
I am not questioning your decision and this is what I have been doing.
But I'm asking myself this question lately...
Driving this thing everyday makes it less interesting to me...

So are you going to drive a car you hate every day so that you will enjoy the GT350 more every once in a while when you finally drive it? :headbonk:

To each their own.

Who said hate? When I commuted in boring stop and go, I had my '05 Focus SE hatchback. I LOVED that little car.

Driving my manual PP GT going in average of 20-30mph in stop and go, wasting gas and miles........so much Fun!!!

Being from Arkansas, you should be glad you can even spell "focus". You don't know how to capitalize or use a period but one thing at a time.
you did real good on your 3rd edit, bub
