Upgrading to Sync 3.4

Has anyone used the following link to upgrade their GT350's to sync 3.4? Would like to confirm it works and there are no issues before I do it.

Nothing and sounds a lot simpler lol looks like I will be doing that and should have looked there first. I only see 3.3 is this the same as 3.4? I would like the blue screen like on the GT500.

3.4 is not available as an update from Ford yet with no ETA. Since you have a 2019 the APIM is the latest version. Many have done the update with no issues, some have had them. Proceed at your own risk. You are still under warranty. Updating to 3.4 could be an issue if you have any Sync related issues.

Thanks for the info Bikeman! I will proceed as I see many people have done it without issues and I have the latest APIM. Mods feel free to delete.

Did the update on my 17 350 and 16 F150. F150 had zero issues, my GT350 I had to pull the car out and leave it running. It kept shutting down before the update went in. The update is nice, cleaned up the interface, made the radio selection for stations a long ribbon, (nice) same for Sat radio, and added a few options to phone menu, general, ect. Overall not bad. Also 2020 maps were put in.

I see from Ford they will have a sync ver 4 out soon.....interesting to see what they will do. But this update to Sync turns out to be pretty good since I have had some time to mess with it.

I logged onto the Ford Owners site and saw I had a Sync update available.

Since I did the 3.3 and logged it w Ford previously, I’m interested what this update might be (I’m on my phone so some info is not available. I’ll report here if there’s anything to report.)

Yeah, don't go by this. My 19' GT/CS shows as up to date. My wife's 18' Escape shows it has an update but it already has the latest. Honestly this is one of the reasons I'm not jumping on the 3.4 bandwagon yet. At least not while I'm still under warranty.

Check the build # the lastest is 19052.

Does anyone know if Ford will eventually release the 3.4 update or will it only be reserved for 2020 built cars and above such as the GT500? Someone also mentioned that 4.0 is in the works I doubt we would be able to get this because 3.4 hasn't even been released yet and 4.0 will most likely run on Fords new bigger screens only is this accurate to assume?
