LOL … recently sold 3 engines (A voodoo, sleeved and non sleeved CP 5.2 ) out of my “supply “ to finance my Fox swaps.

I almost immediately had sellers’s remorse (even tried to buy the voodoo back.. … fortunately still have one spare )
I felt even worse when I saw the buyer was able to “flip “ them for much more than I got even though I still think I did ok (he has better connections and I already tried to get more myself unsuccessfully)

I now barely have enough “spare” engines to cover the cars I still own , most of the Fox swaps ….but still waiting on builder to finish a 5.0 motor I intended for one on my Foxes.

I guess could have used one of the spares I sold but got more for it than cost to build new one (been waiting over 6 months now though … )

So yes … you can’t have too many spares /back ups and with hindsight i should have never given up part of my “supply “

hahaha this is great. I like your style! I just need more space.

We've got 2 builds making over 1200whp on H-tuffs in our group. I agree though, 1300-1600 takes a serious billet rod.
I have been making over 1200 on my H tuff rods also no issue yet.

H tuff rods are heavier than boostline and rated lower. I still say boostline
It’s also a $1600.00 rod set VS. $900. I bought my H-Tuffs before Bidens inflation plan for $810 shipped.

The H-Tuffs are also within grams of the total weight of Boostlines.

Not bad. I paid $735 for my H Tuffs winter of 2020.

Next build, I will look for something with 7/16 bolts if I go aftermarket.

That’s a bargain. The non H-tuffs were selling for that then…….

Yep, it was a holiday sale at some off brand "performance" warehouse.

I was worried I'd never receive the product after paying but they delivered! lol

LOL .. Good ole days .
I remember you hooked me up with that deal(along with the drop in Mahle which were like $650!!) … but then mine arrived way before yours …

Still waiting for the block(got a new Gen 3 for $800 in the good old days ) I bought them for to be assembled . My engine builder says he is “burnt out “ and taking a break for the summer (don’t look at me 🥺)

LOL … Don’t look at me …he has not built me another since I picked these up over a year (have several I have been waiting on since ) .

yeah .. We did good at just over $1400 for rods and pistons , $1700 for the rotating assembly which is about the cost of the Boost-line rods now … although I scored a set for $1K last year

If you want to save weight by lowering rotational mass, as well as saving money for other power-adders, Harbor Freight has connecting rods in their automotive section. They are less than a hundred grams, and made of light weight recycled cast zinc... they are actually Slush Cast (Google it).
They are made in China, and the company is called Cheapasfuk... they have several different rod choices:
"Disilbend"
"Nowerklong"
"Peeceofchit"
All of the models in the series are flexible and can be bent by hand to speed up installation as seen below:
