I just completed a Clutch Tamer install in my 2019 Bullitt and when pressing/releasing the clutch pedal I get a squeak that sounds like an old bed in a cheap motel room. I’ve read a few posts about the squeak, but has anyone encountered this on a 2019+ car? If so, what is a for sure fix? I should add that I haven’t attempted to lubricate anything at all yet. It literally sounds like the song in the video below with each press/release of the pedal.

Haha! I almost posted the link to the original version with words, but I dialed it back to the instrumental version instead.

Weak point is the clutch pedal box; some M6G Members have experienced an actual cracked or broken weld, which causes clutch issues. Check these (2) threads:

Hmmm? Between this clutch line swap and the last one, I’ve only logged 4.8K miles (odometer is showing 5.3K miles now). Have there been reported pedal box failures in:such a short timespan? I will admit that during both clutch line swaps, I must have pumped the clutch pedal at least 4K times to bleed the system of air. I’m going to take a close look at the pedal box assembly tomorrow and try to grab some pics to post here.

Yeah really! I hope you get this sorted as undramatically as possible!

I just swapped to the steeda spring, I will definitely get back in there and check the welds.

I switched to the Steeda assist spring and noticed a squeak when the pedal was being depressed and released. I fixed by applying lithium grease on the contact points of the perch

I’ll give that a shot. Thanks

If you are pulling the spring assembly, you can put a very thin coating on the shaft that slides into the other half of the spring perch, then lube the pivot points. It's a longshot, lol

I’m going to try and avoid pulling the spring assembly again. I actually did apply white lithium grease to the perch and shaft when I first installed them almost 5K miles ago. I’m going to take a look at things here in a bit and see if anything is glaringly obvious in the pedal box area.

I had to drop my tranny 3 times while adjusting my clutch. 2 of the 3 times the pedal sqeaked after it was all back together but it went away with in a few days of driving. The squeak wasn't as loud as your video though.

Okay, I recorded two short videos to give an accurate representation of the noise. Video #1 is inside the car and focused on the pedal box assembly and video #2 is underneath the car. The noises appear to be different to me, with the noise coming from the tranny being the loudest.

I’d say it definitely sounds like two people getting it in on an old box spring mattress. Hell, I‘m beginning to wonder if there really are two people sealed inside of my tranny putting in work? LOL

I also conducted a quick search and found this:

https://autocar-inspection.blogspot.com/2020/07/clutch-noise-when-pressed.html

I realize that our transmissions are different than what is shown in the link, however, some of the information may/may not apply due to accessibility. I’m still currently investigating this and will try my best to improve and/or eliminate the noise.
I love how they have you spraying lube into the bellhousing to grease the pivot. No way that could contaminate the clutch...
