The corner differences are noted but I will take it with a grain of salt until the official time lap is run. Those were test laps, not likely going 100% as they get a feel for the car on the Ring. If it ends up being slower, so be it. But Ford is putting out a good amount of press on GTD and the Ring, I don’t think they would do so if they weren’t confident they will beat Porsche.

I’m not sure if GM has stated which ZR1 version will run the Ring lap so TBD there. If they run the version with the heavy aero, that top speed will obviously be lower and negate its advantage in the straight a bit.

they are in desperate need of adding lightness.
Especially if the quote stating "near GT500 weight" is true.

That being said, even if I had the money I just can't stand how either the GTD or ZR1 looks. GTD>ZR1 but I don't like either. I would go used GT4RS, drop in a Soul Performance Exhaust and just live in pure, auto audio nirvana.

I'm in the same camp. The GTD makes the s650 look as good as possible, but it's still ugly as hell. Ditto for the C8s, the Z06 and ZR1 look better, but still ugly to me.

I think a base GT500 is better looking than the GTD.

Matter of fact, I think a base s550 GT500 is the best looking mustang ever made.

The c8 can only rival or best the GT500's handsomeness from certain angles. In real life there is a certain draw, at least to me, when a car is smaller and sitting lower to the ground.

The convertible c8s are ugly as sin though, and to anybody who says they look good I have to question their taste.

I'm looking to get a no aero ZR1 with the CF wheels and CCBs

I’m with you on the GT500 looks, except CFTP is #1 for me. Love that big wing and the CF wheels.

Both, look best in black IMO as it hides a lot of the weird lines and accents on both cars. The wheels on the GTD are AWFUL. The weird geometric pattern does not match the lines of the car at all.

Some of the 60's designs are hard to top, but if we are not considering classics then hands down I agree, although i have to say the Mach 1 is extremely close. I love the Mach 1 styling.

I'm biased but I agree, the s550 GT500 is the best looking mustang ever made, and it isn't close to me. The older cars just don't do it for me.

Just looks like any other Corvette to me. I would have to look for the little badge to find out if I'm supposed to like it or not. Too bad GM didn't do a little more to differentiate the Corvette trims. However, it's nice for those that buy the entry 'vettes. Unlike the S650 Mustang owners who get the ugly ducklings and only the GTD owners get the cool unique front end.
