I am thinking about installing a(mechanical) boost gauge in my car.

Are there any solutions for a clean, not-obnoxious installation? I am not a fan of pillar gauges and don't want to hack up the interior. Something small and inconspicuous is preferred.

Any suggestions, or show me what you've got. Thanks!

PS - the car has the performance pack - I thought about replacing the factory vacuum gauge, but I don't think I like the idea of the replacement not matching the oil pressure gauge.

get the ecoboost gauge cluster, looks exactly the same as the PP one but instead of the vacuum (useless) it has the boost. I replaced mine with that one, looks simple and clean and easy install.
OOH! I never thought of this.

Forgive my ignorance but would it be plug and play? Presumably the line that supplies the vacuum source to my gauge would also be pressurized if there's boost in the system...?

Ford only part or available on something like LMR? Guess I need to get searching.

Thanks a lot for that suggestion.

I have an 18 GT PP.. Would the Ecoboost cluster still work from previous years (15-17)?

I have an 18 gt pp. I ordered the eb gauges and just plugged them in and they work fine. These are serial communication gauges that use an inferred manifold pressure reading from the ecm. The engine has no map sensor or sensing lines.

You can also enable the EcoBoost Vac/Pressure gauge in your cluster if you want to go that route, free if you have the OBD adapter to do it with (~$70ish Amazon).

Personally though, I agree with the above posts if you already have a PP car, the in-dash mechanical gauges look way better when you install the Eco boost gauge.

^ This. Being as the coyote has no MAP sensor, the value displayed is the ecu's calculation. Although, in my experience it is good enough for me having a fixed boost power adder and really it's just a foo-foo to look at.

*edit* FWIW my Whipple kit is 9psi, and every time thus far I have been able to glance down at the gauge, it's reading 9psi on the needle. Seems to respond with the boost/power as well, and is fairly quick to respond.

You can order through LMR or American Muscle, etc.

This is the one I put in mine. Plug and play. As others have mentioned it uses a calculation from the ECU, so it isn't exactly accurate but it's close and looks good.

What electrical boost gauge are you using?
Thats the attometer digital cobalt series boost gauge, it's 52mm or 2-1/16" if you measure it in inches, the standard gauge size pretty much. It works pretty damn good and easy to install, only need to run a switched 12v to kick panel, ground, and dimmer to headlight switch. The MAP sensor itself is plug and play
