  1. GT350 Dual Pump in 2015 Mustang GT

I spliced the FPC wires together (this is how it's also done on GT350 as per the OEM wiring diagram), as this is just the ECU's request line. The FPM line I left alone on the OEM GT's FPCM, and the secondary pump FPCM I left the FPM wire open. This is merely a feed back line to the ECU so that...
  2. GT350 Dual Pump in 2015 Mustang GT

Ope, forgot about that! Yes, you'll need to remove the driveshaft as well since the tank straddles it. Interesting on the GT500 pump setup. It's been about a year since I have put any thought or research into this, since the current setup has satisfied my needs presently. I have a lot of...
  3. GT350 Dual Pump in 2015 Mustang GT

Thanks for the notes and feedback Mike, I enjoy visiting with a like minded individual! So, on the wiring. Being as I work at a Ford dealer, when I bought the OEM GT350 pump, I also bought the pigtail that plugs into it (you have to, as the GT's pigtail/pump connector is different and missing...
  4. GT350 Dual Pump in 2015 Mustang GT

Mike, that is correct on some parts. The S550 has two fuel control methods from what I can see based on the OEM manuals. The Base/GT models use a FPDM, which has a low/high switch point with a configurable break point in the tune like you have seen. The FPDM in these cars essentially works as...
  5. Joined the Whipple Club, Any Advice For a First Timer?

Quick little update. 4 years with this Whipple kit, 2 Rocky Mountain Race Week Events, hundreds of passes on the street/test and tune nights combined and several daily driver out of town trips now. All on 91 Octane/Boostane at the strip. 20k miles of smiles, still on the Whipple tune. No...
  6. GT350 Dual Pump in 2015 Mustang GT

So, little update. Either I had a defective GT350 pump assembly, or the GT350 uses PWM to control pump pressure, as with the GT350 pump installed, I had a fuel system pressure of nearly 100 psi. What appears to be a fuel pressure regulator on the 350's pump/hanger assembly, may simply be a...
  7. Positive whipple customer service.

Always had excellent service here as well, with what few issues I had with my setup initially. They were fast and very helpful. I had a Throttle body extension harness get a bad pin fit about a year into the kit, they replaced it overnight no charge. Great company, great product. Nearing 20k...
  8. Oil pump gear help

Boundary gears and crank sprocket here. Had a different brand originally from when I did the Whipple install, had way too much clearance and was causing noise. Boundary set has been in for almost a year and a half now, two drag and drive events totaling 3k miles alone, plus probably 1-200...
  9. GT350 Dual Pump in 2015 Mustang GT

I am now in the process of the installation. John, I'm currently in the middle of this install and had a quick question. I see the GT350 has a fuel rail pressure sensor, and it made me curious as to if the control strategy was different on the 350's vs GT, as in are the 350's pumps still a...
  10. Check your new upgraded oil pump gears

So after nearly 2 years of racing under the car's belt at this point, including doing 2 years of endurance drag and drive in Rocky Mountain Race Week totaling over 3k miles alone for that event, no noise and all is well. Car still sounds just like it did when it was new/stock, engine is...
  11. Difference of octane boosters

Boostane for 3 years now and hundreds of passes. I only use it when I go to the track, run regular 91 all other times. I also did 1700 miles on RMRW last year, in 100+ degree heat at track time every day. Car has never missed a beat. I run yearly compression tests, as well as cut my oil...
  12. What is the highest octane recommended for a supercharged engine

I have ran Boostane in mine since the kit was installed 15k miles and 3 years ago. I primarily only run it during the summer months, and on race days just for the added safety net of the additional Octane. I'm running a stage 1 Whipple kit/whipple tune. Car has never skipped a beat, and knock...
  13. Boost Gauge on Digital Custer

Thank you! I used the Glo-Shift vent insert, here: Glow Shift Insert Then, pick your boost gauge of choice. I opted for the Autometer Cobalt series as they are blue back-lit, and I keep the My Color on the car's gauges on blue all the time, so they match.
  14. What oil are y’all running?

I mean you're spending like 8k+ already on the Whipple kit....what's another $100 for oil on top of that? Personally, I never questioned the reasons they recommend it. 5w50 Motorcraft since the Whipple install. 15k miles on the kit, 1 week on the road for Rocky Mountain Race Week last year...
  15. Whipple tune

    I am running the stage 1 kit/tune.
  16. How accurate is the ecoboost boost gauge?

Accurate here as well. I installed a manual boost gauge for peace of mind. Pics showing both gauges under boost in this post. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/oem-boost-gauge-in-gtpp.127319/post-3231808
  17. Whipple tune

3 years and counting on my '17 with the Whipple tune. 15k miles since the install. Car mainly only goes out to the race track (1/2 mile from my house), and a few 200 mile out of town trips last summer. Otherwise, it's all in town romps, and 1/4 mile pulls less a 1700 mile road trip across 3...
  18. Safety/Reliability of recent superchargers?

I think the easiest way to answer all of the above, is no matter what direction you go, be prepared for the worst case scenario. When I purchased and went boosted, I pretty much committed to having enough laying around to repair anything that fails on my own dime, and warranty really didn't...
  19. Safety/Reliability of recent superchargers?

3 years and counting here on a Whipple GEN 3 stage 1 kit. Car is a toy so nothing but 1/4 mile passes, 2 or so 60 mile round trips out of town, and then 1700 miles/3 states and 4 race tracks on Rocky Mountain Race Week last June. Around 17000 miles since the Whipple installation. Nothing but...
