Call Ford and report your issues, they will give you a case number and assign you a Regional CSR. It's a process but that's how I did it and Rachel is a huge help. You can contact her @Ford Customer Service.

Thank you for this info. My car is built...but, sitting and not in "Awaiting Shipment." Rachael is not sure why either. Still checking. Doesn't think it's a QC type of hold. But, something is going on. My car was built on 2/5 and is still not in to the shipping area. I smell a 'rat." LOL....my dealer is talking to their Dist. Rep. to check on my car and why the delays.

It's quite obvious Ford has a problem on their hands. From the cars I've inspected and what I've read here from those of you that have your cars....there is more about what's wrong with them...than what's right.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. IF my car upon arrival is just not right...or I'm not super happy with it...I won't take it. My GM is totally OK with that. I have a great '14 GT Prem. sitting in my garage.

$42,674 MSRP is too much for poor quality construction. Some here...don't care...get in drive....don't see the outside! Wow....OK then.

Keep us updated. You have an interesting case going on. I'm very curious how Ford will handle your car. I had a Mustang bought back before...but, I had to do my homework. They didn't step up and make the offer up front.
Thanks! I'm sure that nothing would have been done for me if I hadn't been persistent and I have definitely mentioned replacement several times. I'm curious to know what the engineer has to say about all that's wrong with my car.

Thank you.

Was looking at my car today and got me all upset.

I know exactly how you feel, when I saw everything wrong with mine I was crushed. My mom was especially bummed for me because she knew how much I wanted this car and how much I do love it.

The thing about it is you may not notice everything when you take delivery, I noticed the trunk, doors, and wheels in the dark and the manager and salesman acknowledged those issues but failed to notice everything. I can't believe no one saw the issues during the PDI, maybe they did but thought I wouldn't notice. Once I had her clay barred and waxed the creasing in the panels jumped out, they were not noticeable with all the rail dust and debris in the paint. No one else noticed anything other than the trunk until I point it out. The Collision Center Manager was surprised that I saw the creases because he said most people never notice, he was impressed with my eye for detail and made mention of that several times. I think the dark color hides a lot of the flaws, silver would definitely show them.

Good luck and I hope you issues are taken care of.

Took a wrench, ratchet and fixed the right side of my trunk sticking up.
Easy fix, loosen tho bolts on the hinge, push the hinge down, tighten the bolts, and I was done.Trunk looks perfectly aligned:)
Of course the dealer did not see anything wrong with it,sayin it is normal:(
Now have to fix that sagging drivers side door. All other body panels are perfect.
The car is the blast, and my Stang is a keeper.

I have these exact same two issues. Have you gotten them resolved?

I've been pretty unlucky. I've taken my car to two different dealers now here in Charleston SC and I was told on both occasions that they are not going to fix my car's misalignments (front/back drive side bumper, doors, back glass, etc). I'm not worried about it right now since I have other issues to take care of first (engine/trans), but I'm gonna have to try my luck somewhere else.

*edit*

My car has misaligned doors, trunk, bumpers, etc. Here are the two most noticeable ones:

Well, a Ford engineer looked at my car and approved the repair of my rear bumper and fender alignment issue. They removed the bumper and taillights and reatached the bumper and corrected the gap. The trunk looks much better too now. The rear glass is slightly lower on the drivers side but not enough that I would want it touched. The creases are normal because of how the panels are pressed and they are like that on all the cars on the dealer lot, it's not a Mustang issue, I saw it on trucks, Fusions, Focus, and Mustangs. The Collision Manager was shocked that I could see it on every car and truck, he said I am the first customer to point it out but admitted it's on all cars that are mass produced. I am not going to continue to obsess over this anymore because I really love the car and I am just a perfectionist and I am being too picky.

I don't have any brake noise or engine noise so I am happy about that.

The door and fender are too close but it's not rubbing or causing paint damage. No one else notices what I see so I will leave well enough alone and enjoy my car.

Good luck to everyone who is having issues and I hope they are resolved.

Thanks for the update. It just proves that the Mustangs are having REAL issues with body panels, door, etc. Even though you are picky...I am too. And, I know there are many cars that are worse than yours....doors touching fenders etc. And, some cars that are not too bad at all.

But, the fact that there are so many with these issues...proves that Ford needs to get a handle on this.

My car, along with many others built the week of 2/2 are on a QC hold...and I just bet it's because of the "fit issues." I know the reports going back on all the warranty claims have gotten their attention. I just want this over...fixed....and a "decent quality car" in my garage sooner than later.

Good luck and continue to enjoy your Mustang. I've owned 9...soon to be 10...and all 9 I have enjoyed a lot...even though 1 was bought back by Ford..and the rest were "not perfect" by any means. But, there is just something about them....a "cheap fun mystique" that made them enjoyable.

Now, not so cheap..IF you get a loaded GT....but, still FUN!
I agree that it's an issue but I actually blame the engineers who are the ones that think the panel issues are within tolerance. That's a lazy and complacent attitude.

I know Mustangs are not perfect but I love them regardless of their imperfections. It truly is a great value for what you get compared to other cars with similar specs. They are so much fun and have such a history. The panel alignment issues go back as far as their inception so I guess it isn't a Mustang without them.

Maybe we'll see a recall but I won't hold my breath. I do love my car and I was absolutely miserable for the 4 days she was at the dealership.

I really hope you get yours soon and that it's as perfect as possible! Good luck and enjoy it!

Gary, I have been following your posts and many others. I think I am even older than you at 70 ! I too have had many Mustangs, first one was a new 1965 when going to Penn State. I also have a 2014 loaded GT Premium that I am trading on a 2015 with Blend date of 2/17. Not sure how smart this is, I believe it is my 7th Mid Life crisis. Hope that the 2015 doesn't have the fitment issues. Good luck to you all others anticipating their new deliveries!!
