Here's a better closeup of the biggest issue I see from the rear profile:

I cropped the center out of this one to show the two edges of the rear glass closer together:

Thank you for sharing! Unfortunately, the Red GT in your photos is far from perfect; see the photo I marked up below. From just the rear shot, you can see significant problems with the roof. This is the example that someone decided to send to an auto show?

This is just pathetic. I really want to buy this car (a GT Premium) and I am ready to make the purchase, but I am having serious second thoughts now. I understand that a Mustang has a lot of power and features for the money and I am therefore not expecting Lexus quality fit an finish, but I had no idea things had gotten this bad. I may resume shopping for a good, used Lexus IS-F now -- its just not going to look as cool next to my '65.
Wow, good eye. I didn't even notice that. Quite honestly I was focused on the side panel alignment, not the window or the trunk. Hmmm.

I really hope mine is built straight and properly aligned. I have a $500 deposit on one which should come in sometime towards the end of March. I already told the wife she's driving me to pick it up, BUT if panels are out of whack,.. I'm not accepting or signing for the vehicle, so I may be driving back home with her in her vehicle.

If the above is the case,.. wonder if I will have to fight for my $500 deposit back.... I trying to remain hopeful!! I should be really really excited about getting my first Mustang, but this topic keeps pee'ing on my mental parade

BTW, Acios3 did you see the pictures of the green one that was also at the auto show that I went too?

What are the Ford customer service people that frequent these forums doing?
Are they reporting these problems to Ford?

Hi Rich,

That pic is at a much lower angle and so I can't really tell if there is an issue with the rear glass and roof.

They have assisted a ton of folks that have reported their issues to FordService on the forum here. They escalate it and stay in touch with the needed Ford folks and you as the owner. They are doing a great job helping folks out.

If you have issues, I highly recommend you PM them and they will get all the info to get your issues fixed.

I just heard from my CSR with an update. My car is at the dealership collision center to have the wheels that were scratched in transit fixed and a Ford engineer came to look at my car while it's there. The engineer requested that the collision center manager take measurements of my car. I'm supposed to be picking her up on Friday late afternoon and the CSR will follow up with me again after the engineer receives the information from the collision center and decides what the next step is. At this point I am being patient. The CSR has been in contact with me every other day so I know that Ford is doing something about it. I'm wondering if the reason for the current stop in production has something to do with all of our issues being reported. I'm hoping that they will address the QC issues and issue a fix. I hope that future builds do not have the same issues. I will continue to post updates as I receive them.

My trunk plastic piece is out of alignment too. I just noticed it's gouged the paint on the bumper under that entire lip. It's on my list for the dealer to fix. They'll need to airbrush paint the bumper it's gotten so bad.
