I'd try and contact one of the ford service reps on this forum and see if they can help you.I've been pretty unlucky. I've taken my car to two different dealers now here in Charleston SC and I was told on both occasions that they are not going to fix my car's misalignments (front/back drive side bumper, doors, back glass, etc). I'm not worried about it right now since I have other issues to take care of first (engine/trans), but I'm gonna have to try my luck somewhere else.
Hope Ford resolves this to your satisfaction, and soon.Yes, everything is documented and I have had a case number and regional CSR from the start. I had my car looked at by a two Ford Collision Center managers, the first was lazy and complacent about panel alignment issues and kept going on about tolerance. I told him that's a complacent attitude and a cop out on Ford's part and that their engineers should be fired if that's their attitude. After my talking with some dealership guys last night after dinner...just having fun, looking etc....I started the conversation about panel alignment. One Sales. Mgr. ( I think he was?)...looked at the other guy there and said.."do you remember the first one we got in...the white one?" They couldn't believe what they were looking at..it was so "messed up" with panel alignment issues. He said he didn't think that car ever was sold.
Ford MUST KNOW they are having these issues. By getting the Reg. Serv. Mgr. involved, calls to Ford Cust. Serv. to get your issue recorded and a case # assigned....and don't let up. IF your's is that bad...then it may not be fixed by a body shop by doing all the re-alignment. Has the top guy at a rep. body shop seen the car and given his "prof. assessment" of your car...and if it is "fixable" by a seasoned body person? If it's that bad...and he's saying...it's really bad, etc....I'd push for a new car.
My '98 Cobra Mustang was having issues as many of them and GT's were having with clutches and pressure plates. I found out there was no immediate fix...I relayed that to the Reg. Ford Serv. Mgr/Rep...and she said.."how did you know?"...connections I told her. I got my choice of a new car, truck, or all my money back. Chose the latter.
Most car company's wont just throw options at your feet when there is a real major issue going on. You have to "push the right buttons"....if not ALL of them....and get your issue resolved either by fixing what you have..or getting them to acknowledge your major problem...and ask them to buy it back...so you can decide what you what/need to do next.
IF a car "problem" is not causing injury or death...then the "wheels" move very slowly on production problems. But, they can be overcome...just don't ever let a dealer tell you....they won't fix it and it's not a warranty problem etc. BS!
Thank you for sharing! Unfortunately, the Red GT in your photos is far from perfect; see the photo I marked up below. From just the rear shot, you can see significant problems with the roof. This is the example that someone decided to send to an auto show?Anyway went to the NE International auto show here and saw some very nice vehicles. Really liked the Audi S3, very sharp car, but pricey. I did take some pictures but decided to check out the 2 mustangs they had on show. One was a a Guard Ecoboast (in the main show room) and the other was a GT premium with PP (Red one) The GT looked good from what I could see. The Ecoboast, not so much.
