Just today my stereo system was found to be no longer working. I can't hit the media button, music button, or radio button. My phone still connects with the system but the integrated bluetooth mic and speakers no longer function.

Buttons on the wheel including the sync button and menu arrow buttons no longer work as well.

My backup camera still works and I can still hit the menu button but i can no longer scroll up or down.

Has anyone had this issue show up?

Cant say that I have. Something seems amiss though. You say your phone still connects, can you make a call and hear audio from it? I would possible reset the vehicle by pulling the negative battery terminal , hit the brake a few times to discharge, and reconnect after 10-20 minutes of sitting. Crank the car up and see what happens. If it still doesnt work, take it to your dealer.

Thanks Nemesys i was planning to do that. I can make a call from my phone but you cant from the in-car controls. Audio cannot be heard either from the calls.

I was planning to disconnect the battery as you have said but I just find it disappointing a car that is only 3 weeks off the lot is exhibiting such problems.

Thanks again!

No prob.

A long time ago audio was about the only thing I did, so its weird to see a stock system just stop working but nothing else in the vehicle electrically going wrong. To me it sounds like its just muted somehow, but you probably already checked that? Did you notice any type of symptoms that lead up to it or it just stopped working one day?

Well not sure if its a symptom or not but occasionally my phone wouldn't connect to sync and I couldn't use bluetooth audio. But my radio still worked during these occurrences though. This time its different though. the only thing displayed on the lcd is a black screen with the date and time.

My Focus ST1 didnt have the my ford touch, and would show the all black screen with date and time when it was completely shut off when driving. Hit the power button? lol

In a separate post, I read about the radio upgrading or reloading when the screen went black.

Probably not the same as this issue, but could be related.

Hey bestbacon,

Here to help! I read your other responses. Has your dealer been able to look this over? Send me a private message with your full name, phone number, VIN, and dealer information; I'll check resources on my end.

This has happened to quite a few people in the Infotainment section. I assume you have the base model radio and not the MFT?

I just fixed my issue! I popped a CD in the player, it played a track for a few seconds, then I was able to switch between Radio, Media, Phone etc. All good now! Prior to that the entire radio/lcd console was dead in the water.

that is only a band aid...it will happen again. you can turn the car off it will boot back up fine also. mine glitches when it wants to...my dealer wants me to go in to show the tech...after the sales manager and their due bills guy have seen sync mess up personally...third times a charm i guess...NOT. one reason i hate taking my cars in for any type of service...also i have extended warranty where i am suppose to get a rental...hahahahahahaha....

Thank you for this info. My car is built...but, sitting and not in "Awaiting Shipment." Rachael is not sure why either. Still checking. Doesn't think it's a QC type of hold. But, something is going on. My car was built on 2/5 and is still not in to the shipping area. I smell a 'rat." LOL....my dealer is talking to their Dist. Rep. to check on my car and why the delays.

It's quite obvious Ford has a problem on their hands. From the cars I've inspected and what I've read here from those of you that have your cars....there is more about what's wrong with them...than what's right.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. IF my car upon arrival is just not right...or I'm not super happy with it...I won't take it. My GM is totally OK with that. I have a great '14 GT Prem. sitting in my garage.

$42,674 MSRP is too much for poor quality construction. Some here...don't care...get in drive....don't see the outside! Wow....OK then.

Keep us updated. You have an interesting case going on. I'm very curious how Ford will handle your car. I had a Mustang bought back before...but, I had to do my homework. They didn't step up and make the offer up front.
My car was built on Nov 4th and arrived on Dec 23rd. Exhaust pipes and hangers rusted during the delay.

I've included a photo of my car before attempting the tail light / trunk lid alignment. Haven't taken a photo yet, after the adjustments. I've been somewhat successful, but it took quite a bit of pounding and whacking and adjusting of hinges and sheet-metal. The best it will ever look though (I'll show a photo when I'm done) will not be perfect, because the trunk lid is improperly designed, as is the Black Plastic on the Lid.

In addition, the quarter panels are incorrectly stamped in that area (poor die) as well as poor weld alignment.

Also showing the pre-production LE and the Design Team Clay Model, to show what it was meant to look like.

Also a photo of my car at work, before starting. From a distance, you can't see any problems. It's only when you get up close or know where to look, you see the problems.

Can't upload everything at once, so will use extra posts.
