My 2014 shelby was great.it has heavy duty clutch that didn't like my left knee so sold it in 2019 fir 50k and bought the gt
They sell now low mileage fir 50s and really hold their resale value if you buy a gt and start modding it you'll be over 50k in it.heres a link to one for sale in atlanta for 54k

Yep I agree, it’s cool to have high HP numbers but it’s so difficult to put power to the ground unless you are roll racing and willing to go into “go to jail” speeds (which I’m too old for that ).

I agree, I have a 2017 GT Premium, PP1, 6 speed with a Roush CAI, MBRP cat back and a staggered tire/wheel package 305's rear. Also an oil separator. This is my spring, summer, fall DD. For me it's just right. Anymore and I'd be in jail. If I want to get a bigger HP jolt, I can take out my 67 Nova SS with a 427 SB. 565 Hp/ 565 Trq. M21 4speed. 900 Hp sounds Great,.. where are you going to drive it ?

I have a 2017 mustang GT manual, my first performance car, whatever you’d like to call it. Certainly never driven any rear wheel drive car with this much torque. I’ve had it for about 3.5 years, stock, aside from air filter, exhaust, suspension, and tires. Only other mods are cosmetic. It has 52k on it currently. I am almost finished school and now have a garage to keep it, along with the money finally to do something fun to it.

Ideally I’d like to slap a Paxton on it, or TT.
At 52k, is it still okay to just throw power at it? Are there any supporting parts or replacement parts I should be replacing before if go this route? Just looking for a starting point and some general advice for a newbie. Thanks 🙏🏼

Your car looks lowered. Have you done suspension mods to help with car control?
Whether you're into drag racing, road courses, or just canyon carving a LOT of people on this forum think the stock suspension had room for improvement.
A lowered suspension just for looks will also leave room for improvement.

That also ties into the questions of "How do you plan to drive it?" and "What will you do with the power?"
For most uses, Driver Mod > FI
and the 8k+ you'd spend on a supercharger install would pay for a lot of HPDEs and tires. 😇

I have a 15 gt convertible and I love ❤ it I have 2m long tube headers,H-pipe, flowmaster cat back, no cats, steeda closed box CAI, 87 mm throttle body, and a tune by Rob Shoemaker and it runs great

Hey John, this is Junior from N4SM. This is my Vortech Supercharged Mustang on E85, I boosted it at 50k miles and it's been great. Billet oil pump gears are something I highly recommend when going boost. Drag radials are your best friend these cars are tail happy. Since you are fairly new to the RWD V8 power it might be a good idea to setup the car first with bolt ons so it's ready for boost later. I started with intake, tune, headers, gt350 manifold and e85. I most importantly learned the car and enjoyed it at that power level. After I did the vortech on E85 and jumped to 800whp. Big power difference from 450whp bolt ons. The best advice I can give is to learn and feel comfortable with the car first before throwing boost at it.
