You described my exact car. I have the Oxford white premium 400a gt pp.. And I paid for the recaros. I don't need to pay 2k to have BLIS in the mirrors and a sub in the trunk (weight). I don't regret 400a. Easy decision for me tho. Never wanted that stuff in the first place
Really? Man could I pick your brain for a second. I am looking at that EXACT car. They want $37600 for Oxford White PP 400A with Recaros. I am with you on the BLIS/ACC. Don't need that stuff.

Do you like the recaros, with the lack of cooled/heated seats? Anything else you wish you had? Just curious.

Thank you,

Brice

Buy......

Buy what feels good to you, and what your gut feeling tells you to buy... I do not own a PP Mustang but I'm very happy with my 5.0 GT Mustang, and it has some Steeda Suspension mods on it....... But it's just a driver, will never be on the track..... Had race cars long ago, 1/4 mile pounder cars...... Best of luck on what you go with...... John :ford:

honestly I tried both, the Recaros were way to constrictive for a DD for me. I love the standard "premium" seats, they are perfect for me. Having heated/cooled seats is a nice bonus, cooled seats with the convertible is a must for hot days!

Like I said.. I ordered how I wanted and didn't get what I didnt. Constrictive or not.. I went recaros. They are incredible for a factory option. Very nice racing seat for the money. I wouldn't have my car without them. To each their own.
If I wanted more or less on the car I woulda added or subtracted it.. These are huge investments.. And I plan on having it a long time. Better get what you want.

Thanks to you goys, I am a proud new owner of a 2015 Ruby Red Mustang GT with the Performance package 400A group.

You guys are the best, now to find a club in Houston! Exhaust is my next mod. Debating what sounds the best, but has the smallest amount of drone, as this is my DD.

For me, I knew I was getting a manual regardless. I'm a little confused by the OP's initial post in that it seems he is under the impression that PP can not be had with an auto, which is obviously not true (although the used car market may limit your options, of course).

I was torn between a Competition Orange GT Premium with PP and a Triple Yellow GT Premium non-PP with the 20" wheels (with summer tires). Drove both cars (as well as a base GT with the 18" wheels). Coming from the aftermarket stiff suspension on my WRX, I wanted something more compliant and comfortable. Wasn't personally a big fan of the 19" PP wheels, plus they are staggered in size (can't rotate front/back, just keep that in mind). If there had been a way to get the 20" on a PP, I probably would've gone that route. In the end I went with the Triple Yellow with the 20" wheels (non-PP) and love every second of it. In 4 months of ownership there hasn't been a single time where I've regretted not getting the PP. I just don't drive as hard as I've used to.

I will, however, say that there was a much more noticeable difference in the base GT with the 18" wheels (with All-season tires). I think the larger sidewall, All-season rubber, and non-PP suspension made it a little mushy, although very comfortable. With the 20", you lose a lot of that "mush" because of the smaller, stiffer sidewall and summer tires.

Just my 2 cents. Honestly, you can't go wrong either way as long as it's an S550!

Hmm interesting. I was 99% sure that the performance package came in manual transmission only. Good for you if you found an automatic performance pack, that'd be a rarity from what I've seen.

Yea seem I'm still in that young and dumb stage, so I wanted the PP to have total control over the transmission and drive hard when I want to.

Thinking about Corsa Catback Extreme as my next addition.

A GT with PP is not available with an automatic transmission.

That is correct. The only auto/PP cars are the 50th LE units....

Still will have to pay taxes on a private sale, will you not? In Washington we have to pay sales tax either way.

Yes you do have to pay tax on private sales but you can talk down the car a little and it won't cost as much. I done that with cars, quads, and dirtbikes that I have sold to people in WA

Congrats Brice! But I have to inform you that this thread would be 50,000x better with some gratuitous picks... :D

Very nice! Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks cbrookre, it's been great so far. MPG SUCKS haha do y'all average like 15? I'm shifting at around 2500 rpms and I have about 35-40 miles of highway everyday, maybe 10 miles of city. Pretty crazy, but it's low as hell. Hoping it loosens up a bit:)

Edit: I have only floored it once... not like I'm driving crazy.

you're getting 15mpg ONLY shifting at 2500? something is off. I can easily get 25+ mpg shifting before 3k.
