OP... my own advice to your first post.

Youre young... have some fun.. go manual and get all the doo-dads that come with such a well priced package. Brakes alone are worth PP.

The real advice I have to offer tho is.... BUY NEW. At 36 and 37K respectively... all your doing is paying for the handful of burnouts the first owners got to do.

I paid 38 out the door for a brand new Premium trim, PP, and Recaros.

Your mistake.. will be buying used when it is only saving you like 1 or 2 thousand.. which finance is only like 28 bux a month.
Not bad advice, OP send the exact options and I can price xplan on it for you.

Edit:

Quick build with standard everything but PP, price comes to $37,300. For a $50 Mustang Club of America membership you qualify for this price. We can guide you on that.

Yea that's what my family has told me too, I just can't find anything priced like what you've got.

I figured buying a used one would save me more depreciation, but if I could get a deal like you've got, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

There is one close to my house, it's ruby red with the PP, 400A so no upgraded stereo and no BLIS, but still has leather and whatnot. And they're asking $37100. Did you use the A/Z plan? I used to have that, and I'd buy new tonight if I still had it. But I've only got X plan now. Any suggestions.

Thanks,

Brice

There is not that big of a difference between A/Z and XPlan. If you have a partner code then can go to fordpartner.com, enter the code and then choose the type of car and build it. Will give you the final xplan price.

I drive mine 65+ miles a day when i'm not ridding the Harley. Love the manual but I want to kick myself a lot for not getting a performance pack car.

TRUST ME OP... BUY NEW... There are plenty on lots around or near you or whatnot I would assume that went unsold. Most dealerships will do trades with dealerships in other states. They will get it in for you. And if no other dealership wants to... my family friend runs my ford dealership out here. He'll bring in whatever car you want. Ship it to you or whatever.

Make the WISE decision considering youve already made the BIG decision to get the car itself.

Yea I need to just bite the bullet. the problem is that the only dealership close to me with enough volume to get prices lower is Autonation Katy. I would like the PP, The problem is I'd love the 401A package with the BLIS. I'm wondering if it's a big deal to skip out on the 401A and get the 400A package. I am not usually picky about the interior, but if I am buying new, for 5 years, I kind of want to have a spacious cabin.

Also I think I'd like White, with the black rims etc and there aren't any down here even close to $37k. Just a big ol Dilemma. Can't find a great price for a fully loaded one, so I have been looking at 400A.

Would appreciate any more advice:) hah

Thanks,
B

That is the exact vehicle sitting out there! So yea you're right, I guess they make their money on volume. I like the color, but I don't know if I can afford it, thats like $40k out the door I think.

Still will have to pay taxes on a private sale, will you not? In Washington we have to pay sales tax either way.

We have BLIS on our 2013 Fusion, in that car it is fantastic. With the integrated blind spot mirrors, if they are adjusted correctly, there are no blind spots in the Mustang. Though most of the time right now, the top is down, so maybe that is why I do not notice... :) Either way, there is no replacement for diligence and head checking. Good luck!

One other thing to think about, you could go in on the private one (or the dealer one, for that matter) with a stupid low offer. The private seller will have a hard time selling with the exhaust and the fact that it is two owner already. The worst he can say is no, even if he gets pissed off what does it matter? Not like it is a best friend or anything, you will not be talking with him after that either way. He may surprise you by accepting or coming back with something that will allow you to mod it the way you want and save some $$. Just a thought.

Edit: My Dad has always told me (and he is one of the best negotiators I have ever seen), when you are negotiating you have to show the other person that you have no problem walking away. Once they see that you want it badly, you are done and will never get a great deal. Have the attitude that "this is what I can afford, take it or leave it" and you may be surprised. Just a little advice.

Any suggestion on what to ask Ford to do? An inspection and just pay them ~$100 or what?
Yes, you tell them exactly what features and options you desire in your NEW car, and if they want your money they WILL get it for you.

I am telling you: The 2-owner is a dud and I would not consider it further. Warranty or not, you would be in for some major headaches. The story about the former upgrades to 'vettes is BS, to make it seem like the car is 'perfectly fine, just a trade-in'. Yeah...traded in for a replacement S550. :ninja:

You described my exact car. I have the Oxford white premium 400a gt pp.. And I paid for the recaros. I don't need to pay 2k to have BLIS in the mirrors and a sub in the trunk (weight). I don't regret 400a. Easy decision for me tho. Never wanted that stuff in the first place
