What have you guys used to get baked on diff oil off exhaust pipes under the car? I've had 2 pinion seals replaced already at 13500 miles on car. 1st was done at 2300, 2nd one today at 13500 miles.

Have you tried #0000 steel wool and some metal polish?

I haven't tried anything yet, they cleaned it up the best they could at the dealership today but I want to get it all off so I can tell if it starts seaping again. 1st time there was drippage on garage floor, this time I think it was more of a mist while driving, never had actual drips.

My '94 Camaro did this. I used sandpaper on the pipes since I wasn't concerned about how they looked in that are. In 24 years it never dripped and the diff oil level never dropped but it always threw oil on the pipes. I finally installed a sheet metal shield after two seal replacements did not fix it. :)

Sparky it down with Carb cleaner, then use the Scotch Brite products mentioned above…. Doing that will get them cleaner and help to remove the staining. You’re not going to be able to polish the pipes beyond the bumper cover…. LOL, you’ll be there for days trying to polish the raw metal finish…

I would be inclined to try oven cleaner with a milder Scotch Brite pad.
