Hi,

2020 U.K. GT with diff temp sensor.

The small gauges on the digi dash don’t give me the option to put the axle temp on

Is this correct ? Can it be added through Forscan ?

Any help appreciated :like:

Cheers,

Think you have to go to the custom gages to select the one you want and it’ll only let you have 3 at a time to display on the dash. It’ll be greyed out if 3 are already selected

Thanks for the response :like:

I can turn gauges on and off and pick the ones I want, but the option for the axle / diff oil temp isn’t there even though the sensor is on the car - kind of like ford forgot to activate it in the software (like I can’t see the boost gauge, but then I don’t actually have a turbo - so that ones logical lol).

Axle temp isn’t displayed in the form of a gauge. Pull up the gauges in your digital dash, then hit the “down” arrow in the steering wheel. It’ll bring up a list of a bunch of different parameters, and axle temp should be one of them

Nope, doesn’t appear to be there.

On the off chance I’ve missed something, here’s what my dash is like :

Can I scroll this menu ? If I press down again I get tyres and g meter etc :

The manual does suggest I should have an axle temp, but here are my options :

Do you have the PP package? Maybe that's the reason why it's not there. But if there's a sensor on the differential (which one do you have?), at least you should get a warning if fluid gets too hot, I assume. Maybe the gauge can be added with FORScan, but there's very little FORScan info on digital dash changes. Good luck.

U.K. spec car so it’s a mixture of pp1 and premium. I think we get all the pp1 spec minus the Torsen, 3.73 (we get 3.55) and the strut tower brace (we get the bulkhead brace, I think the strut tower is missing due to euro crowd hunter impact regulations) :like:

Huh, I honestly don’t know then. US spec PP cars have it in the menu in the second pic, so not sure why the UK car doesn’t have it

This is weird... I thought our EU Mustangs would have the same setup but I have 2 options more than you, which I don't get at all! :inspect:

My list:
Air/Fuel ratio
Cylinder head temperature
Engine oil pressure
Inlet air temperature
Transmission oil temperature
Vacuum
Battery voltage

Maybe the transmission thingy is due to yours being manual and I have the A10 but it still seems odd.

Yeah you should have the trans oil temp as that’s A10 only.

Seems like I’m missing two items then and you just the one.

Do you have the diff temp sensor ?

It’s not the only thing ford messed up with on my car but I will post the other in due course - it’s in the process of being rectified and I don’t want to jinx it ... lol

Not sure if this will tell you what you are looking for as it's for US models.

On a side note, I wish I had half the energy you have my friend!

I like how you made the dash the same colour as the car. That's a very nice touch.
I thought about doing the same myself, but unfortunately in a red car that's not an option. I couldn't live with a red dash; it would be too hard on the eyes.

No, go red and just turn the brightness down a little ... :like:
