Anyone know how to add 3.55 diff on a V6? It says everywhere that it's an option but I can't find it on build & price at Ford.com.

read the order guide... its option 455, tell dealer to add it to your order...

the 3.55 has not been added to build and price for any trim level, there is a theory out there that Ford knows that enthusiasts will know about it and ask for it but im guessing its just an omission.... hopefully not a late availability part

Go build it on cars.com or edmunds.com ... these sites have everything there and more correct, plus they show INVOICE prices.

Thanks. I went to my dealers again today with option 455 in hand. It's $430CAD extra on my V6.

Essentially the higher numbers bring the powerband lower into the RPM range, but the trade off is you rev higher at cruise speeds.

No problem. :) This is why you'll see a low number (2.71 or so) for fuel efficiency, because you'll be cruising at lower RPMs at 60 mph than 4.10s. Although transmission also plays a factor in it as well. But generally, the RPM difference is fairly negligible for the acceleration gains down low.

6%.

It doesn't make a lot of difference unless you are going to put on aftermarket pipes and you want to tune the speed at which the exhaust drone comes in.

Actually, it is up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start (or 'select start' for 2 players)

I used to be able to finish that game with one man. Of course no one believes me anymore - even those who witnessed it.
