Perfect for those of us who like to drive Laguna Seca, with its ridiculously restrictive sound limits (even lower than the street).

Hopefully it will pass even with the baffles open, but if not, I like that they can be closed independently of the drive mode, speed, throttle, etc.

Absolutely. Can't remember what turn but they routinely black flag guys who attend sport bike track days. Some bikes with stock exhausts even get black flagged. It's a huge deterrent to do a track day there. That's California for you...one of the best tracks in the nation...gov't fuggs it up.

Unbelievable! I haven't been since an F1 GP race in 1993 and those 2 strokes scream.

NO longer in the boonies....... developers won out...houses built right up the edge....

Look at what happened to all the great Nor Cal and So Cal drag tracks (Fremont, Lyons, Orange County etc)...one by one gone as developers moved in.

Try taking off from John Wane Airport in Orange County---didn't know your average 737 can go almost vertical....development too close to the airport. Local govts need money and gladly take it from developers....and the resulting increases in property tax revenue.

Cool idea and I'm glad Ford has finally started offering active exhaust. It's one of the best things on the Camaro. Hopefully it will be an option on the GT at some point. I love the idea of having the car quiet when I leave home weekdays before 6am and on the highway, especially for long trips.

Noticeable difference for sure. Curious how they achieved this via the track apps.
It's all software. Just insert a line of codes via programming and BOOM!

Worthless to me... Mine would always remain open or very soon after just be replaced with something aftermarket better flowing and always open anyway.
I am wondering if Borla will develop a similar exhaust like what they did with the C7 Corvettes. Baffles closed would be for the touring mode and open would be S-Type or Atak. It would be sweet to see something like that for the GT350. Touring mode would sound like the FRPP touring and you would get a screamer once the valves are open.

I bet you Ford will develop a system to be offered through the FRPP catalog. They did the same thing for the guys who had regular GTs and wanted the GT500 mufflers. You may have to get a different bumper or do some cutting if they offer quad tips and a computer reprogram to get the dual mode in the track apps, or just offer single tips and no valves and have the baffle open sound the entire time! Then again you do have a point about the neighbors...

Great feature. My lightnings in the 90db range and have to lay off near cops.

Should've stated things differently. I am curious and would love to see the hardware for this. Guess it functions like an electric cutout would.

Probably minus a remote and it is all done though the car. Come to think of it, that would be a nifty: controlling a cutout via bluetooth or something. It probably could be done. Take a look at the app Roush created with their muffler.

It's basically the same as the Mild to Wild switch on Vettes and Camaros.

I can hear the POCONO 500 when its on.... and that's maybe 30 miles from where my ranch is. So the peeps where I live are used to it. I Growl my exhaust by the police and they pay no attention. Since everyone with a pickup in my area tends to run with off-road exhausts anyway. Its just normal. Hey they don't even do emissions checks for vehicle inspections in my area for cars that are 2003 or newer. So O/R mids and long tubes are pretty common on many of the rides. That's living in the sticks.
