Remember that GT350 that was running around with the hood bulge? It turns out that it was Ford testing a 7.3 in the GT350. REVan Evan did a video on the car.
This is probably why Ford said that the engine could fit in the car…
So far nothing was unveiled yet. If not today, I would bet for sure it would happen next Friday. The only reason for me to believe that is because of it’s still a go, the Mid-America Ford and Shelby Nationals happens next week. Probably would be more appropriate to reveal it there.
Between all the additional components (intercoolers, updated safety equipment, etc.), it was inevitable that the GT500 would weigh 3900-4000+ lbs. Although I am also skeptical about the document, the horsepower sounds on par what the Ford media team said back in January. Remember, Ford said it...
I understand that it may just be a spoiler from the parts bin. That is a given and manufacturers do it a lot with prototypes and mules. It is obvious that the final spoiler will be different. But the main point of posting this thread was to confirm that more than one version of the GT500 is...
Someone posted this on Facebook today. Screenshot taken from their video. Looks like a GT500 prototype with a different spoiler. Could we be looking at a GT500R/GT500KR model with the big wing and a GT500 track pack with this one?
I have no doubt in my mind that we are looking at the GT500 wing. Take a look also at the triangle design on the GT350R support brace, the CGI and the GT4. Notice similarities and differences?
I was going to say, that would be cool. Have it retractable or removable. Hat would be cool. Would not want to accidentally curb those and break. Some mentioned before that this car is supposed to have some “screws that do unique things.” Possible that is it?
Some people are curious of the side skirt that is going half way up th car. I looked at one of the screenshots from the NAIAS teaser video thread and cranked up the brightness. I think that extra splitter is going to be part of the car.
From a credible source on FB:
“Something is not right. I just went directly to the Chicago Auto Website, and thoroughly went through all categories of "debut cars", and not only did I not find or see the 500 and the Bullitt listed there, the list format shown on the link to 6g above is not the...
I saw those Facebook posts too. Looks like you and I know the same source!
I agree about it being revealed at a separate event. After all, the 2018 Mustang GT was revealed at a farmer’s market in California.
The waiting game continues...
