Kicker Comp Gold 10" - https://kickeruk.com/products/cold104?variant=43465021456533@Rilot what is the model number of the kicker sub? Did you put a grill over it and how does it sound?
Thanks
Did this sub have 8 screws instead of 6 for mounting? Did you just drill 8 new holes in the sub enclosure? Are you not able to reinstall the OEM trim ring and speaker grille? Did you use a wire harness or just strip back the factory wires?Installed DD RL-SW10-D4 a couple weeks ago as well. Absolutely love the outcome. I got the Amazon 10” bar, but I think I would prefer the DD Audio one Joe above me bought directly. Looks to be a bit more coverage. Lucky for me mine is a weekend warrior and hardly anything ever goes in the trunk, but would be something to think about if you used the trunk often.
Yes 8 screws I do believe if I’m remembering correctly. None of the previous holes line up so no big deal. I did use gasket tape on the backside to get a good seal when snugging up.Did this sub have 8 screws instead of 6 for mounting? Did you just drill 8 new holes in the sub enclosure? The Polks were my second choice after the RL-SW10. To bad RL-SW10 are discontinued great sounding woofer. Back during my research, I was leaning towards the DB1042DVC since it was cheaper than the MM1024DVC. I have used Polk 6x9s in the past and loved them so I had no concerns with them sounding good. At the time the RL-SW10 just edged out the Polk so I went that way. Whatever you choose it will be a vast improvement.Well I started the process and was able to save 1 of the trim ring clips.
I am reviewing the subwoofer replacement options and the only place I can find the DD Audio SW10-D4 is on Amazon by WoofersEtc. DD Audio has it listed as discontinued. Is there a newer model? I checked reviews for WoofersEtc to see if the company is legit and it appears they are. Anyone have experience purchasing from them?
If I am not able to go with DD Audio, is there any on the list below people have went with and are happy? I am also on the fence of just going with the Pioneer A-Series TS-A250D4.

Appreciate the help.
I contacted DD audio and they indicated that the 300 series has replaced the discontinued version. I still need to verify that it is a direct replacement and will fit. Although I’m not really sure what I’m looking for. I would assume dimensions. The Polks were my second choice after the RL-SW10. To bad RL-SW10 are discontinued great sounding woofer. The 300 series will not fit. While the mounting diameter is fine, the mounting depth at 6" is a no go. The RL-SW10 was 4.75" and I think there is like 5.25" available. Not 100% on that, but search this site and someone had measured it out.I contacted DD audio and they indicated that the 300 series has replaced the discontinued version. it looks like you attached your bar grille with screws. I would assume these screws punctured through the plastic woofer box. Did you put any silicone in the holes prior to tightening it down?

I found it on Amazon from the same seller. Shipping is a week out. Looking forward to hearing the difference, but not sure how it will sound with my top down .
Mine is a coupe. But the bass is better with my windows open. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with it. Now it does take time for it to break-in. Mine took a week or so and it keeps sounding better.I found it on Amazon from the same seller. Shipping is a week out. Tonight I went ahead and installed a Orion XTR XTR104D into the factory location, I little Dremel work to the box and it was installed in 20 minutes start to finish . Since I had a pair of these laying around thought lets give it a try knowing dang well the enclosure is far to small since these require about 1.35cu ft of internal space and the amp is super weak and god knows what the factory DSP/EQ settings look like. Well its far more musical and accurate but its missing and I mean missing anything below sayyy 30hz and lacking sub 45hz even with 8oz of polyfill but above that its a plus lol. I ordered the SKAR box that takes the place of the factory box to give that a try. Its 1.0cu ft so 2-3oz of poly fill should help. If I can talk myslef into doing the rest of the system I have a ton of high end old school stuff here. I'm thinking I will allow 40lbs of added equipment if I go that route not a gram more lol. For amps I have a SS 644,700s,10.0, Reference Picasso. Subs 2 12" Orion NT gen 1 ( carbon ones) and a pair of SS Velvet hammers(one fo the best 10" drivers for sq/sql in my book plus they are mega sensitive like 94db), Mids and highs SS SPL 5.25'' components, Diamond audio 6.5" 3 way components, 6.5" 2 way component set, and a Infinity kappa 5.25" 2 way component. Might go with the 644 powering all the Diamond Audio mids and highs and the SS 700s powering a single SS Reference "Velvet Hammer" which I loved the way it sounded in 1.1cu ft previously .. Long story short stock system leaves a lot to be desired esp in the low end range. If the larger box provides me the missing low end then I'm might to add the diamond stuff to the car and cross my fingers with the stock processor and amps. Has anyone added mids and highs to the 12 speaker BO system with good results or should I say acceptable results?
