Looks like they've been closed long enough that a detail shop has taken over. Odd to see so many Mustangs and Jeeps in their content and even some footage from back in 2022 shows a Futura trailer in the foreground which Archetype was semi-associated with at one point. It's also super super suspicious that their first listed "Detail Package" is called "The Heidel" in honor of the owner of Archetype Racing.

If I was someone who was owed money I'd be giving these guys a ring to find out wtf is going on .

Also here's Curtis's other social media accounts that don't seem to have been taken down. Note the dually F350 post which tags the detail shop in the post that took over their old location.

And a lawsuit against him and Archetype in 2022 where it looks like they didn't pay back some funding they received from a company in NY to the tune of over $100,000.

Wing failures? Ouch
Not much of a concern anymore as there's not a company to be able to buy them from anymore it seems, but yea here's an on track failure that nearly wrecked the car.

Oh wow, I’m sure that was a code brown moment
Very much so. The person who shared that photo knew of 3 other wing failures like that with Archetype wings.

There’s actually 6 lawsuits/cases.

Looks like 3 from non-repayment of funding groups, one still active for breach of contract, one from the WA department of revenue, and one from the WA department of Labor:

I had a fairly small order but I had to file a dispute with my CC company to get money back. I got an email from archetype (after that) confirming the cancelled order but I have no idea if they actually paid any money back.

What REALLY sucks, one of the biggest failure points in the American legal system is that a failing business can knowingly continue to take in sales money and steal it from "creditors" once they go under and even before that, if you make a purchase and don't receive the item, they can just keep your money and you have to take them all the way to court to even have a hope of getting it back. The cops and law enforcement will do NOTHING.

@Angrey Yup, the most aggravating thing ever. Have fell into a couple traps myself. Agree to disagree, but my hat's off to PayPal, (legit, quaility) credit card companies, and the like. The couple of failures I've had getting stiffed with purchases, I didn't lose any money because my financial network covered it. Still not an excuse for being a complete piece of S&%$ citizen.

Hey Everyone. After 3 people sent me links to this thread I felt the need to comment. Some of you may know me, several even mentioned me in earlier posts (thank you!), but for those of you that don't, I'll post some links below of a bunch of content. But to keep it short, I primarily specialize in carbon fiber and aerodynamics. I've been racing since 2010, several regional championships in Ai and ST2 with NASA and won Nationals in 2019 at MidOhio. A lot of our parts were developed in CFD by JKF Aero (former Mercedes F1 aerodynamicist that started his own CFD/aero consulting company) and ran in a full scale wind tunnel to get as close to real world data as possible. I can safely say our parts perform better than anything on the market. About 95% of our stuff is manufactured in house here at my shop in Virginia. A link to my youtube is below that has all sorts of fun and informative stuff on it. Also a link to my GT350 build thread is below and a bunch of videos in there. Please feel free to send me any questions about aero, composites, racing... whatever.

And that's the problem with aftermarket wings that are not load tested. The typical design is a clamshell design where the top section is epoxied to the lower portion (which the seam is the weak point). Then, on top of that, they throw it out into the free air at angles that overload the airfoil.

A while back, I cautioned folks that this could happen. I'm glad nobody was hurt in any of these failures.

Like BillyJ said, with great downforce, comes great responsibility. And knowing what you're doing is a good start to that. It seems like some vendors don't think they need to know what they're doing, though.

:lipssealed: Welp, i was with curtis from the early days…..i went through the 18-24month promises…i bought everything …..helped fund his diffuser project with 2 other people, i was one of the first to get the wing…. When i stopped being a parking lot warrior, that 90% of this forum are….. and actually started racing at real tracks at 140+mph, i saw the massive short comings of archetypes designs. Curtis is a good dude, i liked him, but if i had a problem or something didnt look right, i was told its my fault. (everyone knows what im talking about thats dealt with him.

I came to warn all about the archetype dangers only to be quieted by the hot dog riders on here. There are a lot of people embarrassed to come out and expose him because they're embarrassed.

that being said, if anyone wants to buy my diffuser, its for sale and modified correctly. 👀 i’ll be selling it pm me at a premium since you cant get them anymore.

if you aren't running AJ’s stuff…..then we know what type of person you are, go park your car at the local car meet with your garbage signature rims and car which hasn’t seen more thsn 1/2 throttle.
i mention 5.0 deep because he is friends with him and pushed his brand at the risk to track safety
